- The Chosen arrive at Fortress Karn, 255 miles from Gelpar.
- They have a late breakfast while Raza delivers his speech. They
are now more than half-way through the journey.
- After a quick chat with the local garrison they continue on
their way.

- Brack replies that, as far as he knows, it is not haunted.

once a means to breach the planar boundary is found.
- Although unwilling to move Lazarus from Uris, Nicos grants this
request.

- Silas Marnier, a Fire Eye posted to Salmaynak by Tarrashar,
joins the Chosen of Narramac.
- He explains about some of the politics of Salmaynak, including
the great religion that has grown around The Dragon Within.
- Elias doesn't like the sound of this, and fear the Teeth of
Io might arrive to pacify Salmaynak.
- It is explained that the six princes await the Chosen in Sal'Parvis
the capital city of the principality of Celencia.
- The six principalities are not united and care nothing for each
other's ends.
- The princes fear Enoch, but must be allowed to retain face.
The discussions will be difficult.

- At the temple of Enigmus in Uris, the ghost of Niala Vyre is
becoming something of a problem.
- The Aertherian priest Inictious has an encounter with the ghost
and reports it to his superiors.
- When he is ordered not to mention the matter again and not to
report it to the Watchers. Inictious becomes suspicious.
- Since the enormous cover-up regarding Mínaris's sentient
spell Inictious has been doubting many of the practises of the
Arcanum Incognita.
- He decides to observe the situation and see what he can discover.

> Sal'Parvis:
- The Chosen arrive at the great river port of Sal'Parvis: the
capital of Celencia.
- They leave Gilberto Rodriegez and are led by a political functionary
to an elegant townhouse that will act as their base while they
are in the city.
- The Chosen take the opportunity to relax and plan their next
move.
- It is likely the princes will keep them waiting as a show of
strength.
- Raza tries to communicate with Rhiana, but she refuses to allow
him through.
- Elias receives a magical message from Lokan Kalharn. Six weeks
into the unknown lands he has discovered hostile "elves"
and "a city". He says he is investigating.
- Without sending or similar magic, the Chosen cannot contact
him.
- Arvan wishes to use his new powers to create a bogun. He asks
Nicos to teach him how to make wondrous items.
- Nicos agrees as long as Arvan gives Nicos a talking monkey.

> Sal'Parvis:
- An old yet formidable half-elf pays a call on the Chosen of
Narramac. Something about him is familiar to Rio and Nicos.
- He invites the Chosen to meet with his mistress: the Dowager
Marchioness Aitora Pendragon. They agree.
- Aitora is the venerable matriarch of a powerful noble family.
- Her son Melbranque, is the advisor to Meredith (the Prince of
Celencia) and she offers to help the Chosen in the negotiations
if they help her.
- Aitora is the grandmother of Jessica DiFontaine.
- Jessica is under sentence of death from the Serian assassin's
guild. They have traced her to Sorostrae.
- Nicos contacts Fire Eye Maelstrom in Sorostrae and asks him
to find Jessica.
- Aitora and the Chosen discuss Salmayan politics and Warlord
Korvis.
- Elias suspects that Korvis is not planning to conquer Salmaynak
with his army, but to use it against the Dragon Within.
- The half-elf is revealed as Baraka Shai'ir, estranged brother
of Amarice and Rio's uncle. Rio is very taken with Baraka and
remains to speak with him.

> Sal'Parvis:
- The Chosen have their first interview with the six princes of
Salmaynak: Meredith of Celencia, Hieron of Gilfrith, Eugene of
Mínosh, Murradis of Ghintaly, Wilmorra of Keldeema and
the exiled Nebulan of Caldorath.
- All are arrogant and attempt to parley from a position of strength.
- The Genbassi problem is seen only to affect eastern Salmaynak.
- The Chosen hand over Enoch's demands and are immediately dismissed
for the day.
- In the evening Nicos books a swanky meal for him and Rio, but
she stands him up to spend more time with uncle Baraka.

- The Fire Eyes Nuban Gallows (a socialite who joined the church
to meet women) and Sidartha Zaan (a ageing fire eye on his "last
great adventure") arrive at Gelpar.
- They will be Nicos's contacts and a means to stay in touch with
Alberdark.

> Sal'Parvis:
- It is apparent that the Chosen's town house is being watched
by agents of several different princes, and that they cannot trust
their staff.
- Rio delivers an important summons from Aitora Pendragon.
- The Chosen escape their watchers in a stomach-churning coach
chase and arrive for a clandestine meeting with Aitora in an abandoned
tenement.
- They receive additional help with their negotiations.
- Aitora then presents her elder grand-daughter, and Jessica's
half-sister, Syrah Pendragon.
- Syrah is delighted to have found the Chosen (especially Arvan)
again.
- She recounts her adventures with Warmi in the Underdark. She
considers the threat of the Changelings and Asmodeus to be something
they have to do something about immediately.
- Syrah says that Asmodeus is searching for a girl called Nina
Cross and that they have to find her first.
- Although the Chosen want to help, they are not sure how at the
moment.
- Syrah says that she will join their group and help them as best
she can.
- The Chosen contact Vince so that Syrah can takl to Nareem, but
Nareem is away in the Midnight Lands on an unforeseen adventure.

> Sal'Parvis:
- The Chosen are once again summoned before the six princes.
- They are given the prince's counter demands and then given half
an hour to think about them.
- They Chosen prepare well, and play the religious card to convince
the princes that the Genbassi are blessed by the moon gods, and
also the ones in the position of strength.
- They give the princes much to think about (although Nebulan
remains against them).
- Another meeting is scheduled for the following day.
- In the evening, Melbranque Pendragon visits the Chosen in secret.
- He promises the agreement of Celencia, Keldeema and Ghintaly
on the "Genbasson issue" if the Chosen promise to go
to Sal'Cran and stop Korvis from invading.

> Sal'Parvis:
- A further meeting with the six princes, and Meredith of Celencia
seems to be playing true to Melbranque's word.
- However, the other principalities worry what releasing the Genbassi
slaves will do to their economy.
- It is a day of discussion and compromise on both sides.
- Prince Nebulan becomes increasingly distanced from the other
princes.

> Sal'Parvis:
- The Chosen meet with the princes again, but this time there
are only five: Prince Nebulan is not around the table. Nicos thinks
he has been bumped off.
- They are close to agreement now, but the easterly principalities
want guarantees that Enoch will keep his word and not invade them.
- In the end, Raza has to promise to train Salmayans to be Moonhunters
and create a force that is capable of defending Salmaynak.
- An agreement is made, but it will only be ratified if the Chosen
can talk Korvis out of invading Celencia. They must head to Sal'Cran.
- Fire Eye Malestrom has news of Jessica that he communicates
to Nicos.
- Jessica has assassinated fourteen members of the Desideratum
Veritas in Sorostrae.
- She is being hunted by a wizard called Gymyr Tandor, but she
has not yet been apprehended.
- Rio passes this information to Baraka and Aitora. She considers
staying with her uncle, but in the end she decides to carry on
with Nicos.

- The Chosen of Narramac leave Sal'Parvis on the next stage of
their grand quest.
- Syrah joins them on the road north.
- Nareem finally communicates with Nicos via Vince. He agrees
that Syrah should remain with the Chosen of Narramac for the time
being.

- After ten days of observations and seeing his fellow clerics
try to destroy the spirit of Niala Vyre, Inictious has learned
the truth.
- Despite his church loyalties the aertherian knows this matter
must be bought to the attention of the Watchers.
- Not wanting to be murdered he decides to seek out those he can
trust. He intends to go to the Grand Conflagration and get word
to the Chosen of Narramac.

- One day from Sal'Cran, Nicos contacts Fire Eye Igneous Hawkshood
and asks if he can organise an audience with Warlord Korvis.
- The inexperienced Igneous says that he will do his best.

- Very late in the night, Inictious sneaks across Uris to the
Grand Conflagration.
- On the steps of the Grand Conflagration, Inictious is fatally
poisoned.
- He has just enough strength to stagger into the temple and demand
to speak to the Firewalker, before he dies in the lobby.
- Inictious's unbound spirit is seen to leave his body.
- First Flame Ana Ransoon is called for. Rather than alerting
Inictious's own church of his plight she calls for Fire Eye Lazarus
Hawkshood.
- Lazarus surveys the scene and contacts Nicos.
- Using Lazarus's eyes, Nicos recognises the dead cleric as Inictious.
- Nicos orders a watcher be sent for to speak with the dead.

Iourn > Northern World > Urova > Norandor > Uris:
- Early in the morning a female watcher arrives at the Grand Conflagration
and casts speak with dead on Inictious. Nicos observes.
- The truth about Niala Vyre's plan and her murder is now out.
Everyone is suitably shocked by the actions of the Arcanum Incognita.
- Obviously the High Holy Witness of Doom must be notified. Things
are likely to get very sticky, very quickly.
- Nicos asks the Watcher to tell Tarex: "He has my full support."
- Ana Ransoon sends a bodyguard of twenty Firestarters to accompany
the watcher back to the watcher's high temple of Oblivios.

- The Chosen arrive in Korvis's tent city in the late evening.
They head to an enormous open-air tavern where Alessandre is singing.
- Alessandre performs her famous ditty: The Ballad of Nicos Tannesh,
that makes Nicos insufferable and the other party members dumbfounded.
- Nicos capitalises on his new notoriety as a folk-hero by buying
everyone drinks.
- Alessandre is reunited with the Chosen and is pleased to see
everyone (although she largely ignores Elias).
- She obviously wants to accompany them on their advetures but
she feels that the situation with Elias would make it too difficult.
- The relationship between Rio and Alessandre is decidedly frosty,
as Rio looks out for Drasha's interests.
- Elias leaves the scene and loses himself in the tent city.
- He later bumps into Alessandre. The two talk, kiss and then
hurriedly leave one another.
- The encounter is witnessed by Brack, who is not the most sympathetic
shoulder for Elias to cry on.

Iourn > Northern World > Urova > Norandor > Sal'Cran:
- Although Brack says nothing of Elias's encounter with Alessandre,
Elias's body language gives everything away and soon everyone
knows.
- Rio is livid and quite violent. Ravenna rounds on Elias and
demands that this does not interfere with their quest.
- Alessandre arranges an interview with Korvis.
- Korvis is a very reasonable man. He considers the Dragon Within
to be an evil influence on the Salmayans and completely against
the teachings of Uros.
- It has been his life's work to raise this army to destroy it.
Arvan is persuasive and points out that with the problems in the
Astral Plane, now is not the time to lead an army into battle.
- Korvis listens to the Chosen and to all their adventures. He
has heard some of the rumblings of an enemy in the south, but
had not put it all together until now.
- Elias says that they may have a way to deal with the Dragon
Within.
- Korvis agrees to think on what the Chosen has said.
On the way back from the interview Brack is hailed by a malformed
man called Samuel Time who claims to have known Brack's old mentor,
Gellakine.
- Time says that one of the ogres that slew Brack's family is
close by. He will take Brack there if the Chosen pay for the magic
that will repair Time's body.
- Brack agrees and soon finds himself facing an enormous ogre
called Riphook. He winds up for a terrible battle.
- Sensing approaching doom, Ravenna goes and gets Korvis.
- Korvis arranges that the duel between Brack and Riphook is fair.
- Riphook says that he was hired to kill Brack's whole family
by Magnus Vardok (a dwarven noble from Kûlhazan and ally
of King Abrinthor).
- There is a plot here, but Brack is only interested in blood
at the moment.
- In a vicious battle, Brack slays the ogre and claims its magic
booty.
- Alessandre agrees to paint a fantastic picture of this magical
moment.

Iourn > Northern World > Urova > Norandor > Sal'Cran:
- The Chosen remain in Sal'Cran waiting for their second interview
with Korvis.
- Nicos is contacted by Lazarus Hawkshood. He says that Tarex
has called an Enclave for five days hence.
- Nicos will need to be there (in spirit) to lend his support
to the Watchers.
- In the evening Nicos tells Syrah all about Elias and Alessandre's
convoluted history.

Iourn > Northern World > Urova > Norandor > Sal'Cran:
- The Chosen speak to Korvis and his council. Korvis has heeded
the Chosen's words.
- If the Chosen can use their contacts and expertise to remove
the threat of the Dragon Within then Korvis will not invade Celencia.
- Further, he will use his army to aid them in the fight against
Karatath.
- If they cannot do this then he will have no choice but to return
to his original plan.
- Korvis also agrees to let the Fire Eyes Igneous and Hera to
remain in Sal'Cran.
- Afterwards the Chosen discuss their options: Elias says they
have to contact Quenqurial.
- Nicos gets a Fire Eye to ask agents of the Odyssian Church in
Uris to contact Lokan Kalharn. Lokan met Quenqurial and might
be able to get sending spell with him.
- Raza suggests lucid dreaming to contact Quenqurial. Perhaps
travelling to the Cave of Fear at his (nearby) monastery will
expedite matters.
- Failing that Elias suggests going to the Devastation of the
Dragon Within in Keldeema and giving it a good talking to.
Nicos is less than enthusiastic about this plan.
- Raza contacts Rhiana for advice on using the Cave of Fear. Any
attempt by Raza to cross the Dreamheart on his own would be suicide.
- Rhiana says that she will "think about" helping Raza,
but her animosity for him is undiminished.
- Raza tells Rhiana that there are elves living on Iourn (as per
Lokan's message). She is shocked.

Sal'Cran to Kelrin:
- The Chosen of Narramac leave Sal'Cran.
- After much soul-searching Alessandre decides to come; she'll
"see how things go".
- The situation between Elias and Alessandre is more ambiguous
than ever.
- Although they decide not to attempt to use the Dreamheart to
contact Quenqurial, the destination is still Raza's monastery.
- The monks of the dark moon are great scholars and could be important
allies in the forthcoming conflict.
- Half-orc fire eye Tarkesh Thundarr arrives contacts Nicos. He
has joined Enoch's forces in Genbasson and will be their contact
there.

- The Chosen and Alessandre arrive in the village of Kelrin and
go to The Spinning Top where Raza had his trial of the flesh.
- They meet Madame Weaver and her prositutes as well as Brother
Allain, a monk from the order who is doing his own trials.
- Outside, Arvan (in dire ape form) is approached by the town
militia.
- After lunch, the Chosen head up the winding stair (aka the porn
tunnel) to Raza's singular monastery.

of the Dark Moon:
- Leaving Elias's steed at the back door the Chosen enter the
monastery from the lowest levels.
- Arvan is horrified that the monks keep so many dangerous and
alien creatures in their home. They are asking for trouble.
- He liberates a crocodile and an awakened rubber plant named
Robbie and then gives the Father Abbot a stern talking to.
- Raza speaks to Father Abbot Magen. The abbot believed Raza had
left the order for good.
- Raza asks the monks to help them against Karatath, and tells
him everything about their adventures.
- Raza wants them to research everything about the powers and
histories of godspeakers. Magen says he'll see what he can do.
- The Chosen, Alessandre, the crocodile and the rubber plant leave
in the early evening for Salmaynak.

Mountains:
- Alessandre is leading the Chosen to the village of Pilgrim's
Muster in Keldeema.
- She knows that it is from here that the offerings to the Dragon
Within are sent, and it will be a way to get into the Devastation.
- The party are about to be ambushed, but the bandits think better
of it.
- They cross a rope bridge into Keldeema in the early afternoon.
- Then Nicos must stop as he needs to 'appear' at the Enclave
in Uris.

- The Enclave is gathering the Panoptican in Uris (the Grand Panoptican
is still being resbuilt). All the high priests are present.
- Nicos uses Lazarus senses to communicate. He sits with Ana Ransoon.

- Nicos backs him up by telling the Enclave everything that happened
to the Chosen in the Astral Plane.
- He also mentions the war with Karatath and the threat of Asmodeus
that is happening directly beneath their feet.
- All the churches are horrified by the Arcanum Incognita's reticence
to help.
- Every day in the northern world 20,000 souls are turning into
undead spirits instead of travelling the Soulway to Mortis's realm.
- The Justicians declare that if the Arcanum Incognita do not
reveal all they know they should be expelled from the Covenant.
- High-Invigilant Elgarth asks time to contact the Chapel Sinister.
The enclave breaks up and will reconvene the following day.
- Afterward, Nicos speaks to Munro of the Church of Earth. The
Terranites want to help oppose Asmodeus any way they can.
- Nicos discovers that all attempts to contact Lokan Kalharn have
failed.

Mountains:
- Lazarus Hawkshood contacts Nicos to council him on his next
move.
- It is likely the Arcanum Incognita will call the bluff of the
rest of the enclave. They are too powerful to be ejected from
the Covenant.
- Alessandre advises Nicos to vote to eject them any to preserve
his alliance with Tarex.
- Ravenna wants something far nastier to happen to the Arcanum
Incognita.
- Nicos consults with Maelstrom, and opens a conference call with
Lazarus.
- Maelstrom agrees that ejecting the Arcanum Inognita from the
Convenant will have little affect on their power in Sorostrae.
- Elias says that they cannot punish members of the church (like
Inictious) when it may be only the Chapel Sinister that is corrupt
- or, perhaps, malificent.

worst.
- A vote is taken to expel the Arcanum Incognita from the Enclave.
The vote must be unanimous.
- The Watchers and the churches of Earth, Fire and Air vote to
expel the Aertherians.
- However, the Church of Water votes to keep them in, and the
voting ends.

- Arvan conjured a wood wose that Brack smuggles into the great
tombolla with the false names of the Chosen and their allies.
- During the draw, the wood wose hands the names to the virgin.
- The Chosen, Syrah, Rio and Alessandre are selected to go to
the devastation as well as the legitimate pilgrims: Farrah, Carson
and Meg.

in the Enclave laying down.
- A large force made up of the Children of Children of Óslos,
the Shadow of Mortis, a brigade from the Church of Contention
and a company of Justician knights ride from Uris to seize control
of Galys. Lazarus goes with them.
- The mount Rofearn, Hedwig and Robbie the Rubber Plant follow
the barge at a discreet distance.
