Iourn > Northern World > Urova > Norandor > Uris:

  • The Chosen of Narramac enter the city in disguise and hide themselves at their safe house: The Swollen Jaw.
  • Nicos, Elias and Raza head to The Fluglehorn. The innkeeper doesn't know anything about any murders, but visiting Aetherian, Inictious does seem to know something about it.
  • The three also encounter Sammy Brown, leader of a team of ninja-street urchins trained by Zookie. Sammy agrees to hunt up any information on the murders for the Chosen.
  • Ravenna, Arvan and Brack head to the merchant ward and discover Jhasik Tannesh is working at a pawnbrokers owned by Fenton Pryde. Ravenna promises to return at the end of Jhasik's working day and take him to the safe house.
  • Later: Arvan, Nicos and Raza go the Black Suite and leave a drawing of a black rose to alert Lucien to their presence.
  • Brack is sent to infiltrate the palace and speak to Gaston. The Archwizard is dismayed to see him. Brack learns much about the current state of Norandor, the murders and the Chosen of Galahyde.
  • An exhausted Ravenna retires early, leaving Raza, Elias, Brack, Nicos and Arvan to sneak into the palace grounds and investigate the ruins of the Grand Panoptican.
  • The fivesome see the ghost of Rowena Caled. Nicos ineffectually fireballs the ghost making a terrible noise and alerting the palace guard.
  • Raza runs to safety, Arvan flies and Brack tunnels leaving Elias and Nicos to be chased through the city streets.
  • They manage to escape into the city sewers, but not after further explosions and Elias has revealed who he really is to the soldiers who were chasing them.

Terday, 2 New Year 205 LE

Iourn > Northern World > Urova > Norandor > Uris:

  • After getting utterly lost in the sewers Nicos and Elias eventually return to their companions. The entire group (including Jhasik) decide to move to the Black Suite because it is protected from scrying.
  • In the afternoon Nicos has a mental communication from Vina Leikey, inviting him to the Grand Conflagration. He accepts.
  • In the evening: Brack, Elias and Nicos head to the Unborn Calf for a meeting with Sammy Brown.
  • Sammy has some interesting information about murders people are witnessing and then promptly forgetting about. He even has a name for the Chosen: Norris Hemlock.

Zephday, 3 New Year 205 LE

Iourn > Northern World > Urova > Norandor > Uris:

  • The party awake to Shredder inexplicably eating a crocodile.
  • Lucien arrives in the Black Suite and fills in the party on many of the new political realities in Uris.
  • Nicos raises the crocodile from the dead and party follow it into the sewers in a small boat.
  • They trace it to a small magic box that is summoning strange creatures into the sewers. It conjures an enormous kraken that Brack single-handedly despatches.
  • The box is returned to Lucien with orders to pass it on to Gaston.
  • In the evening, Nicos heads to the Grand Conflagration. Brack follows him in case he needs back up.
  • Nicos encounters Boudewijn Berdgardt and gets into a pointless fight with him.
  • Nicos speaks to Vina Leikey. She wants Ana Ransoon of Vrex Cross to be the next Firewalker (a good choice) but they cannot while Nicos still has the power. Nicos agrees to undergo a ceremony to remove the power of the Firewalker.
  • The ceremony turns into a pantomime as it becomes obvious that the power does not want to leave Nicos.
  • The Church of Fire must either accept Nicos as the Firewalker or kill him. Vina chooses the latter option.
  • Nicos prepares to undergo death by water, and neither Julian Maynard or Boudewijn can save him. Fortunately, Brack can. He rescues Nicos and spirits him away to the Black Suite.
  • Meanwhile, the rest of the party have gone to see the demonologist Helmut Heung for some guidance on what could be causing the murders in Uris.
  • Afterward Elias goes to meet Sammy Brown, but the urchin does not turn up. Elias goes to the Unborn Calf instead.
  • He discovers that Megan Karn died on the very same night Alessandre was resurrected. Suspicious.

Caladay, 4 New Year 205 LE

Iourn > Northern World > Urova > Norandor > Uris:

  • Gaston arranges for the Chosen of Narramac to visit the prisoners held for the inexplicable murders.
  • They interview a group of people who one would never consider capable of committing such brutal crimes. Elias is particularly take by the six-season old Nissa Fisher. He cannot believe that they are all to be put to death.
  • Also a prisoner (on separate charges) is Bumbrey Dolanz. He fears the evil that the newly reinstated Count Caled is currently perpetrating in Umbria.
  • Leaving Dolanz and the other prisoners the Chosen pay a visit to Norris Hemlock.
  • Hemlock is having his memory modified by the Arcanum Incognita. Nicos and Brack tail (but lose) the Aerterian agent.
  • Meanwhile, another brutal murder happens near-by at swanky restaurant, The Draconis. It stopped by Reuben Stone. Fenton Pryde is in the restaurant taking dinner.
  • The ghost of Rowena Caled appears again to Elias and begs him for help.
  • The Chosen witness the thing responsible for the mayhem: Mínaris half-wrought spell has gained sentience and is roaming the city causing chaos. They follow it toward the Royal Palace which brings them into conflict with the Chosen of Galahyde.
  • It is a three-way battle between the Chosen of Narramac, the Chosen of Galahyde and the Sentient Spell.
  • Ravenna goes into labour during the battle, but still has the presence of mind to throw spells to help her friends.
  • The two Chosens team up to take down the spell. They eventually succeed although Arvan is possessed and inadvertantly kills Nicos by ripping him into a thousand bloody pieces.
  • Arvan restores Nicos to life.
  • Ravenna gives birth to twins. One boy (Dralcarnus) and one girl (Alessandre). They are delivered by her companions.
  • The Chosen of Galahyde take the Chosen of Narramac into the palace and offer them sanctuary in the White Suite.

  • The Chosen of Narramac are under effective house-arrest in the White Suite. They do not try to escape.
  • Ravenna convalesces and cares for her new babies.
  • The Chosen of Galahyde are sent to lay the ghosts to rest at the Grand Panoptican. The Chosen of Narramac are not allowed to help them.

  • Vina Leikey and Belarus Rothsman visit the Chosen of Narramac in the White Suite.
  • Rothsman arrived in town yesterday and informs Nicos that Sesnic Lodrath is also on his way (albeit a bit late for Nicos).
  • Remarkably, both are in agreement that Nicos must take on the mantle of Firewalker. There is no other way.

  • Rio Shai'ir arrives in Uris, and heads to the Grand Conflagration to speak to Boudewijn.
  • In the White Suite, Ravenna looks after her babies while the rest of the Chosen begin to plan their next move.
  • Elias thinks that the obvious place to plan the League of Light is Tibrai. He plans to take Nissa Fisher with him.

Iourn > Northern World > Urova > Norandor > Uris:

  • The Chosen of Narramac are at last summoned to an audience with King Galahyde.
  • The King listens fairly to their tale and is evidently grateful that they destroyed the sentient spell that was menacing Uris.
  • He finds it hard to accept Mínaris's evil nature but he does not ignore the evidence presented to him.
  • Galahyde listens to the Chosen speak of Karatath and the need for him to join the League of Light.
  • He pledges that although Norandor will stand on the side of Light, they will not stand alone. First the Chosen must bring proof.
  • A condition of Galahyde joining the League and removing the price on the heads of the Chosen is imposed. The six must appear at a public spectacle on the Hill of Heroes two days hence.
  • Galahyde assents that Elias can take Nissa Fisher with him when he leaves Norandor.
  • He also demands they take Bumbrey Dolanz with them.

Terday, 9 New Year 205 LE

Iourn > Northern World > Urova > Norandor > Uris:

  • The Chosen of Narramac appear on the Hill of Heroes with King Galahyde.
  • The King revokes the charge of treason on each of them. In return they endorse him as the new king.
  • Galahyde and Raza embrace like brothers in front of a roaring crowd.
  • Nicos then travels to the Grand Conflagration and makes arrangements for the management of the Church.
  • Nicos is reunited with Rio who has been waiting there for him.
  • In a quiet service he formally takes on the position of the Firewalker.
  • Ana Ranshoon becomes the new First Flame of the Grand Conflagration. Sesnic Lodrath takes on the same role in Vrex Cross. Rothsman and Vina Leikey head to the Village of the Eighteen Churches. Julian Maynard returns to Scaldarnus.
  • Nicos selects Vince Loire as the Fire Eye to accompany him on his travels.

  • The Chosen of Narramac plus the two babies, Jhasik Tannesh, Bumbrey Dolanz, Rio Shai'ir, Vince Loire and Nissa Fisher leave Uris on their long journey to Tibrai.
  • The has provided one of his most elegant coaches and an entourage to take them as far as Vrex Cross.
  • The Chosen part on good terms with most of the members of the Chosen of Galahyde.

  • The entourage of the Chosen of Narramac passes into Umbria to inform the Elenor Caled of the fate of Rowena.
  • The ghost of Rowena appears to Elias. She will only know peace if her mother attends her funeral.
  • Arvan discovers a malificent plot to seed Norandor with fiendish locusts that will devastate the new year's crops.
  • They also find the carnivorous larvae of these insects concealed in food relief due to be sent north.
  • Squire Snolk is implicated in the conspiracy, but he escapes.
  • Any Caled involvement in this plot cannot be ascertained, although Nicos suspects Linton Caled.
  • Dai Caled allows his wife to attend Rowena's funeral after seeing the young girl's ghost.

Iourn > Northern World > Urova > Sal'Cran:

  • Syrah arrives in Sal'Cran after travelling across the Norandor for ten weeks.
  • It is largely thanks to her that the refugees have survived the long and difficult journey.
  • She now heads south into Salmaynak to find her family.

Terday, 16 New Year 205 LE

Iourn > Northern World > Urova > Norandor > Vrex Cross:

  • The entourage of the Chosen of Narramac arrives in Vrex Cross, and leave their carriages behind.
  • Nicos leads the party north-east toward Neverton on the first leg of their journey to Ashardon.
  • They decide to take a more circuitous route to avoid the ancient barrows that Elias still has a problem with.

  • The Chosen of Narramac and their entourage arrive at Ashardon and are reunited with Dralcarnus.
  • After sharing their plans with the guardian, they take the portal to Tibrai.

Iourn > Northern World > Urova > Tibrai > Jotan's Point:

  • By mid-afternoon the Chosen and their companions arrive at Jotan's Point.
  • They are all reunited with their various family members and there is rejoicing and acrimony in equal measures.
  • Drasha informs Elias that the body of his double has been stolen from its tomb. The theft coincided with the appearance of an enormous dragon in the town.
  • Elias arranges a meeting with the ruling council of Tibrai, Lokan Kalharn and many others.
  • Raza attempts to communicate with Alberdark with lucid dreaming.

Caladay, 25 New year 205 LE

Iourn > Northern World > Urova > Tibrai > Jotan's Point:

  • Raza talks to Drasha about Alessandre with predictable results.
  • The Chosen of Narramac meet in closed session with Misgon, Drasha, Vince Loire, Rio, Seneschal Lauren and Lokan Kalharn. Also present is the elf, Anwyn who risks much to offer his advice. They discuss how best to gather the League of Light.
  • They agree the Saldarím are their natural allies. They will go there first and use them to convince King Galahyde.
  • Raza says that he must then return to Genbasson to keep an agreed meeting with Enoch. He speculates that they might be able to convince Enoch to join the League.
  • From there they intend to make their way back across Urova visiting Salmaynak, Junos, Eldagaire and Sorostrae.
  • If possible they could seed the area with Nicos's excess Fire Eyes, thus creating a communications network.
  • Lokan volunteers to take a party and investigate the unknown lands.
  • Nicos asks if they should ask Aldric Kurst to join the League. Everyone says "NO!"
  • Despite the astonishment of his peers, Elias decides to leave Drasha behind in Jotan's Point when they depart for the Girdle. He does it for her own safety. As his wife, she acquiesces with dignity.
  • Misgon will also remain, much to Ravenna's dismay. Someone has to watch over the children.
  • Both Rio and Vince agree to accompany the Chosen to Belsinor's Girdle.

Morday, 27 New Year 205 LE

Iourn > Northern World > Belsinor's Girdle: The Tower of the Marshal:

  • The Chosen and their companions arrive in Gelaphina and encounter the guardian: Xalanthus.
  • Xalanthus appears to have a terrible multi-personality problem. It considers that only the most worthy should be entitled to set foot in Gelaphina and use the portals.
  • Xalanthus tests the Chosen by putting them on trial. They pass when Elias tells it that the Great Pact has been broken.
  • It then tests the heroes again by creating an illusion in which they battle impossible demonic odds. All pass by showing insane bravery in the face of unavoidable death... all except Rio. Xalanthus bans her from using the temple again.
  • The party eventually head up to the Tower of the Marshal and speak to Lord Marshal Nareem.
  • Nareem agrees to help in any way he can. It is agreed to send Sir Garnir to Norandor to convince Galahyde to join the League of Light. He also agrees to teleport the Chosen directly to Genbasson.
  • Nareem tells the party that their old companion, Minsc, has allowed himself to be possessed by an malevolent spirit. He has since escaped and must be recaptured. The party (except Ravenna) agree to help.
  • Raza visits his own grave and lays flowers upon it. Later he freaks out the girl who thinks he is dead.
  • Lhepesh a celestial comrade of the Saldarím arrives at the Tower of the Marshal.
  • In its dying breath it warns the Chosen that word of their mission has reached the enemy, and they are being hunted by Mínaris's most capable protégé: Faust.
  • Late in the afternoon the party join Nareem and a company of soldiers on their journey to the Tower of Valeria.

  • En route Nareem and Elias have a deep conversation about Elias's future.
  • At the Tower of Valeria, Elias meets Minsc's bonded mount: the ailing Rofearn. He is tempted to take it on as his own.
  • Soon after, the force is divided into many groups that must enter the jungle and search for Minsc.
  • The party (minus Ravenna) enter the jungle and are attacked by a deadly swarm plague ants.

Iourn > Northern World > Belsinor's Girdle: The Tower of Valeria and Environs:

  • After many hours of searching the party eventually encounter a formidably enhanced Minsc.
  • They manage to subdue him long enough for the paladin to be imprisoned him in a device of Nadja Pelinikas's making.
  • At the Tower, Elias formally bonds with Rofearn much to Hedwig's disgust.
  • The creature within Minsc eventually regains consciousness, but it will only speak to Minsc's companions.
  • After much verbal sparring, the being is revealed to be a Rakshasha - an evil spirit, and one of the Ancients.
  • The spirit never gives its name, but it reveals the Rakshasha have long ruled the land of Ranishan. It says that Karatath feared their power before and will not touch them this time. However, it fears what will come after Karatath.
  • The spirit is an advance scout to warn the rest of the Rakshasha of the rising threat from Barathrum.

Astral Plane > Unknowable Location:

  • The party are intercepted during the teleport and unceremoniously dumped onto the Astral Plane.
  • Disorientated, they are captured in a force cage by beings they later learn to be the Githyanki.
  • A baffled and frustrated party are transported across the Astral Plane.

Sharday, 33 New Year 205 LE

Astral Plane > Unknowable Location:

  • The force-cage containing the Chosen of Narramac and their companions is chained to hundreds of other similar cells, each containing other prisoners scooped from their inter-dimensional travel.
  • In an adjacent cell are the missing hobbits Balthasar and Ezekiel de Chesiré.
  • Balthasar believes that the Githyanki are sealing the borders of the Astral Plane.
  • Ezekiel informs Arvan that Grand Druid Petrov Arcanus doesn't seem to want to help in the war against Karatath.
  • The group try many spells, and Nicos annoys a large number of his Fire Eyes. But they cannot escape.

Iourn > Northern World > Urova > Salmaynak > Seria:

  • Syrah arrives in the marquessate of Seria and seeks out her grandmother, Aitora Pendragon.
  • She meets Baraka Shai'ir for the first time and apprises her grandmother of the current situation.
  • Aitora counsels patience and hints that Fate may soon send allies across her path.

Terday, 37 New Year 205 LE

Astral Plane > Unknowable Location:

  • The strange allies of the Githyanki show themselves for the first time.
  • Brack is fearful of them and calls them Garagok Demons. Balthasr de Chesiré knows it as a Phaerimm.
  • The cube containing the Chosen and their companions is untethered and taken by the Githyanki to places unknown.

Zephday, 38 New Year 205 LE

Astral Plane > Githyanki Citadel of G'laknir

  • The Chosen are brought to a Githyanki floating fortress.
  • They witness an immense pinsered creature being directed by the Phaerim to snip silvery astral conduits.
  • The group is imprisoned with a tiefling called Nixit who admits he is a spy for the githyanki's immortal enemies: the githzerai.
  • He confesses that he is not a very good spy.
  • The Chosen meet with the Knight who effectively rules this place. He is angry because another individual snared from Iourn has destroyed citadel Verkatath and killed sixty Githyanki and four Phaerim in his search for the party.
  • The party immediately realise that this must be mysterious Faust. They tell the Knight this.
  • The Knight is incredibly angry. The reason the Githyanki are sealing the Astral Plane is protect themselves against the coming war with Karatath that cost them so dearly last time. He orders the party's immediate execution.
  • At that moment the githzerai attack.
  • Nixit releases the party on a whim and tells them to head to the village of Shollokarn where someone called Gan.

Astral Plane > Unknowable Locations

  • The party flee/fall across the Astral in search of the village of Shollokarn and possible escape.
  • Nicos is almost hit by an arrow fired millennia ago.
  • They come across an enormous battle site that dates from the last Great War and was completely untouched.
  • They are conscious of something malevolent following them.

Sharday, 40 New Year 205 LE

Astral Plane > Old Galys

  • The party reach Shollokarn only to discover that it is really the Norandon town of Galys, displaced by the Arcanum Incognita fifty years ago. They chat with the locals and bring them up to speed.
  • Rio confesses her fears to Arvan. She is worried that the personality of Wren is reasserting itself.
  • The party interview Gan who turns out to be an exiled githyanki.
  • Gan is not surprised that the Githyanki are closing the Astral plane, but he is shocked they are cutting the coduits.
  • The conduits allow the dead to pass from the realm of the living to the land of the dead. Without them, every death would be an elven death. This is as serious a thing as they could possibly imagine.
  • Nicos uses his powers to get the Fire Eyes to tell the Watchers this.
  • Gan says that only the Face of Heaven can help them now.
  • The party and Gan travel by soar whale to see the Face of Heaven - a powerful angel.

Astral Plane > The Sundered Sea

  • The angel answers some of the party's questions regarding the Ancients and offers to send them back to Iourn.
  • It then senses a terrible evil has entered its domain. The party assume this is to be Faust.
  • Although torn, the group agree to return to Iourn and continue their original mission.
  • The angel uses powerful magic to send them home, and then turns to meet the intruder.

Morday, 41 New Year 205 LE

Iourn > Northern World > Urova > Genbasson > Killantha:

  • The Chosen of Narramac and their companions return to Iourn. It is sixteen days since Raza's agreed meeting with Enoch.
  • Raza is honest and contrite with his companions. He tells them he plans to take on the mantle of Godpeaker at last.
  • The elf Rhiana attempts to convince Raza not to follow this path by telling him the 'truth' behind the origin of the gods.
  • Raza convinces Rhiana that he should become the Godspeaker: better the devil you know.
  • Raza ascends and communes with the gods. He becomes the Prophet of the Moon Gods, but they ask nothing of him yet.
  • Nicos is contacted by Lazarus Hawkshood (Fire Eye in Uris), and then speaks to High Holy Witness of Doom, Tarex, regarding the problems on the Astral Plane.
  • As Raza meditates, the rest of the party are attacked by Faust who has finally caught up with them.
  • The Chosen are no match for Faust. He lays them all low and kills Nicos.
  • Raza confronts Faust and uses the power of the Moon Gods to drive him from Killantha.
  • Raza appeals to Calafax to use his powers and the holiness of Killantha to restore Nicos to life.
  • Nicos's body erupts into flames and burns all night.

Sunday, 42 New Year 205 LE

Iourn > Northern World > Urova > Genbasson > Killantha:

  • From the ashes of Nicos's body a small baby is born. It begins to age rapidly.
  • Raza speaks with the Moon Gods again to try to understand his role. It seems he sets the agenda of the Moon Gods.
  • A force commanded by Enoch of Genbasson arrives at Killantha. The Chosen are invited to parley.
  • Enoch respects Raza for finally accepting his birthright, and sees the Chosen as his allies.
  • He asks them to intercede and make a peaceful end to the war with Salmaynak.
  • The Chosen leave Enoch for Gelpar. They will rendezvous with him at the Monastery of Symblach.

  • Tarex the High Holy Witness of Doom speaks to King Galahyde about the problems in the Astral Plane.
  • Many of the heads of the respective churches are present, including Invigilant-General Elgarth of the Arcanum Incognita.
  • They agree that a force must be sent into the Astral Plane to stop the Githyanki, but how?

Vítday, 43 New Year 205 LE

Iourn > Northern World > Urova > Genbasson > The High Moor:

  • The Chosen head south-west from Killantha to the fortress of Gelpar.
  • The growing Nicos is now a teenager and is going through puberty again.

  • Using the magic of the Arcanum Incognita, Tarex communicates with all the Morticors in Urova.
  • He apprises them of the situation regarding the Soulway.
  • The Morticors act decisively and filter instructions to the archnecrotains, necrotains and morticians. Until a solution can be found, the Watchers of Urova must act to contain this problem.

Terday, 44 New Year 205 LE

Iourn > Northern World > Urova > Genbasson > The High Moor:

  • Igneous Hawkshood and Hera Ventola (the Fire Eyes sent to look for Alessandre) contact Nicos.
  • They have found Alessandre entertaing the troops in Sal'Cran. They also have more serious news.
  • Warlord Korvis of Sal'Cran seems on the verge of invading Salmaynak with his 20,000-strong force.

  • King Galahyde issues a proclamation in Uris.
  • All state executions are indefinitely delayed. The watch and other regulatory bodies are commanded not to kill anyone.
  • The terminally ill and the dying are sent to temples of Mortis.
  • The Watchers, Scribes, Vítaens and even the Defiers and Sensates are drafted into help with the problem. Those with the power to turn or command undead are ready to move at a moments notice.
  • This is all designed to contain the problem while the Watchers and the Arcanum Incognita and all their wizards work on the problem at hand.

Sharday, 47 New Year 205 LE

Iourn > Northern World > Urova > Genbasson > Gelpar:

  • The Chosen of Narramac and Rio Shai'ir arrive at the Fortress of Gelpar.

  • Raza speaks to his Moonhunters, and tries to convince them that the war with Enoch is over and the war against Karatath is just beginning.
  • In the evening Raza contacts Rhiana and shares intelligence with her.

  • Alberdark will not accompany the Chosen for their discussions with the Salmayans. He has primed them, however.
  • The Chosen continue to discuss the Fire Eye issue. They speak to Christian Deerkor and learn what is happening in Kannalas. They agree to swap Maelstrom (currently in Sorostrae) for Vince when the chance presents itself.
  • The Chosen and Rio depart Gelpar and head to the next fort in Raza's grand chain.
