Vitday, 1 First Snow 204 LE
Iourn > Northern World > Urova > Norandor > Bear's
Reach:
- Yelanna Chiesa is killed during the escape of the dragon Karakoravus.
- Yelanna, Leyanna and Lanna Chiesa are revealed to be sorcerers,
although Leyanna is unaware of this.
- The sunken temple rises from the sea several miles from Bear's
Reach.
- The Companions of Bear's Reach enter the tower and discover
many dangerous and open portals to other dimensions.
- Among the planes they travel to are a tropical paradise, a heavenly
realm, a manticore's lair and Tharkis the City of the Damned.
- In Tharkis, Thorn willingly sacrifices the life of an innocent
to escape. Kaylas makes an agreement with a demonic creature and
promptly breaks it.
- They discover members of the Oceanic Order, and are captured
by the Kaorti (members of the same race as the creature that abducted
Úsaan the previous evening).
- They are rescued from the Kaorti by Rebecca Salumeneh who tries
to persuade them not to go ahead with the ritual. They discover
Rebecca knows Trevane, and that Trevane is the pupil of the pupil
of Rondalis (a wizard lost in the temple last time it appeared).
Rebecca makes them burn the ritual and she leaves them.
- The companions ignore Rebecca and head to the top of the tower.
- They are diverted by the arrival of Mab and later Kaleena. They
also encounter Krais's mother, Salia, and discover that there
is a sentient virus inside her (deliberately trapped by Rellick)
and that it is looking for a way home.
- The Potello Glass is in the horde of Karakoravus and their parley
with the dragon and (with the help of more seawalkers) they obtain
it. They discover a connection between Galen, Vitor, Yelanna and
the sea druids in the process.
- They return to the main chamber and conduct the ritual as the
sea is returning.
- Rebecca tries to stop them and attacks them, but they manage
to subdue her.
- The ritual is uttered, and the portals in the tower are closed
(at least momentarily).
- The companions retreat to the roof of the sunken temple, but
are cut off by the rising tide.
- Rebecca agrees to fly to the mainland and get help by boat.
She does so and returns with Curran Fisher (thus humiliating Thorn).
The companions are rescued and returned to Bear's Reach.

- The group, including Amarice, arrive back at Gelpar after a
long journey.
- Raza explains to his companions what has been transpiring in
Genbasson of late. The nature of lycanthropy is laid out before
Arvan, Nicos and the others.
- Many questions are asked of Amarice Shai'ir that he tries to
answer.
- Nicos determines to stay and help Raza, although he doesn't
believe the moon gods are involved in this skullduggery.
- The other members of the group also remain. Arvan takes to spending
time in the wilderness.
- Brosh begins to use his Moradin-blessed magic to repair and
fortify Gelpar.
- Nicos summons up an image of Elias on his mirror. The clanlord
is being held against a wall by two harpies while a third pounds
him in the groin with a large piece of two-by-four.

- Rebecca tells the companions that they have done terrible wrong.
She departs, but will return.
- Kaylas helps Lanna in going through Yelanna's things and concealing
what she was from the village.

with the horrors they saw in the tower.
- Kaylas finds Yelanna's familiar, Quoth the raven, and takes
it to Lanna.
- He persuades Lanna to take it as her familiar.
- The Njedelstrom fleet returns with a small whale.
- In the evening, Krais returns to his room to find ten season-old
Sallie Cooper sitting there. She tells Krais that Grint is having
a "sexual relationship with an older woman" from out
of town. Krais sees danger in this.

- Krais stakes out Galen Thorn's shack all day waiting for Grint
and his mystery woman.
- He manages to frighten Taran Farmer and his bullying friends
into thinking he is Galen's ghost.
- Grint isn't coy and admits to the relationship but says it is
none of Krais's business.
- Grint has some of Havelock Weaver's records that seem to show
that Illyan had a twin.

- Kaylas wakes up in a hole in the garden. He doesn't know how
he got there.
- Arax has a third vision regarding Rhiannon Thorn and Mannell
Falls. This carries a greater sense of urgency.
- Raven Njedelstrom approaches Thorn with an offer to go out on
the boats with Curran Fisher.
- Illyan's mother Lyssa starts planting dweomerfoot around the
Forester Lodge.
- Krais goes to ask Illyan's advice on a gift for Kaleena. He
intends to ask her to marry him.
- Lyssa gives Krais an incredible gift to give his intended -
a diadem made of mithril and set with stunning blue gem. It is
valuable enough to buy seventy Bear's Reaches.
- They get the metal identified by Ras Smith. Krais talks to Utor
who says that he hopes Kaleena and Krais will be happy, but Utor
is hiding something and Krais cannot figure out what.
- Thorn spends much of the morning gutting the whale, but goes
to see Kari with the gift of a coconut.
- Krais tells Illyan about the possibility of his twin. He decides
to confront Caitlyn.
- Even Monty can't stop Krais proposing. Kaleena accepts.
- Caitlyn eventually reveals that there was a twin, but it was
deformed. Tobias told her that it died.
- There is a big part at the Dyers to celebrate the wedding. Tarn
sees the diadem and goes into deep shock.
- Mab and the companions sneak off and burgle the inn, just to
teach Tarn a lesson. Thorn takes the baron's signet ring that
they find in Tarn's secret room.

- The funeral of Yelanna Grushko is held.
- At the gathering afterward, Grint shows Illyan the papers from
the town chronicle. Illyan determines to ask Tobias about this.
- Thorn asks Konig if he can go fishing with Curran. Konig doesn't
say no.
- Arax tells his companions about his vision. This combined with
Illyan's desire to visit the House of Stone, means that the companions
are soon to be on the move again.

Reach:
- The companions report their finding from the tower to the Village
Council. Kaylas does the talking.
- Thorn goes on the boats with Curran Fisher. Curran hopes this
will be the start of a thawing of the relationship between the
two families. However, when they return Thorn is marched home
and soundly birched.
- Krais asks Mab and Monty to try and stop Kaleena from following
him when they leave tomorrow.
- It is revealed that while a prisoner of the Kaorti, Illyan's
bear was changed and is no longer strictly a bear. It shifts to
a tentacled and many-eyed form in the night and scares Illyan
to death.
- He runs to see Krais, but there doesn't seem to be anything
that can be done about it.

- Kaylas, Krais, Arax, Thorn and Illyan head into the Whittenwood
in the direction of White Bear Peak and the Mannell Falls.
- They cross in and out of the territory of the murderwraiths.
It makes Krais increasingly paranoid.
- Illyan falls into a burrow where a giant wasp is hibernating.
It nearly kills him and everyone else.

- In the evening the travellers encounter Vitor who tells them
he is whittling down the soldiers that still pursue him.
- He tells them a great deal about the history of Galen's band
of adventurers (that included him and Yelann) and their relationship
with the oceanic order.
- He says that the device Karakoravus destroyed when he escaped,
must be repaired and that Galen is the only one who can work it
now that Yelanna has gone.
- He says the party should seek out Galen, but only Salia probably
knows where he went.
- He also warns them to be careful around White Bear Peak as there
is much activity in the area.

- Vitor leaves and Illyan takes a longer route to shake off any
soldiers.
- They discover a trail sign which indicates they are entering
an area patrolled by forces outside the Village.
- Towards dusk they find a whicker man hanging from a tree. Inside
it is a frozen human heart.
- At night the party sleep fitfully.

- Elias speaks to Wrath of the barbarian clan and formally invites
them to join his society.
- He asks for their help against the harpies.
Caladay, 11 First Snow 204 LE
Iourn > Northern World > Urova > Norandor > Whittenwood:
- The companions are captured by the barbarian Skar and taken
to Solokar.
- Solokar that he and his tribe worship Bharrai, the Great White
Bear. He explains that his army is going to retake holy caves
of White Bear Peak from a band of infidels who are plundering
and destroying the ancient secrets kept within.
- Solokar rules by fear and has a habit of making human sacrifices.
He has whipped his tribe up into a religious frenzy.
- The "infidels" in the cave, used to be members of
this tribe and are led by a man called Thenndin.
- The party believe that whatever this other group is looking
for is worth finding. Arax's visions seem to confirm that they
need to be at the caves before Solokar's army gets there.
- In the night an attempt is made on their lives by masked assassins.
Thorn blows the horn discovered in the sunken tower and summons
his own band of raging berserkers that kills or drives away their
attackers.
- The party believe Solokar was behind the attempt on their lives.
- Arax spies of Solokar. He discovers that Wrathrin (an aid of
Solokar) is Thenndin's son. Solokar communes with the Great White
Bear by magical means.

- The party spend the day planning their escape.
- The shaman, Gulyar, heals Krais. Solokar seems very interested
in his welfare.
- Thorn speaks to Wrathrin and tries to convince him that Thenndin
is not a heretic. He appears to fail.
- Kaylas summons giant eagles that carry the group out of Solokar's
camp and into the Whittenwood.

Bear Peak:
- Just after dawn the Companions arrive at Mannell Falls and become
aquainted with Thenndin and his band.
- Thenndin reveals he is searching for the tomb of Earlyria, and
the party agree to help.
- A druid called Oma shows Illyan the ancient House of Stone.
- Tobias Forester has a long coversation with Illyan who decides
to give up being a healer and become a druid. Tobias enlists Oma
to be Illyan's teacher.
- Using the visions given to him by Rhiannon Thorn, Arax, finds
the tomb.
- The tomb contains a prophecy about Scarman Thorn none that may
have implications for Krais.
- Oma and Illyan agree to meet at the hut of Morris Forester on
25 First Snow.

of the harpies have been eliminated.

- The companions choose to camp one more night and press onto
Bear's Reach in the morning.
- At night, a terrible conflagration of takes place in the sky.
- Something crashes to Iourn through their camp leaving a fiery
trails of destruction through the Whittenwood.
- The companions discover an angel has fallen from the heavens.
It is wounded with arrows.
- The companions decide to transport the fallen celestial to the
Forester Lodge and set off immediately.

- After three weeks, Brack, Halbeara, Xyleria and their entourage
leave the Hall of the High King for Dûnhazan.
- They take tokens of friendship from High King Goldorro.

Reach:
- The Companions of Bear's Reach hide the angel at the Forester
Lodge, although they are being watched.
- The Companions return to the village and discover the inexplicable
murder of Antoine Dyer, Rex Njedelstrom, Taran Farmer and Ciaron
Chandar. Grint Brewer is the obvious suspect, but he is missing.
- The group conducts an extensive investigation into the murder
and thoroughly search Galen Thorn's hut.
- They discover a magical sword that Galen left for Krais many
seasons earlier.
- Late in the evening the party conducts a search of town and
discover he had been sleeping in one of the barns.

his 'fancy-woman' Phelasina has her own agenda.
- Kaylas believes Sallie Cooper is in danger, and goes to warn
her parents.
- Illyan visits Morris Forester to get some answers about his
childhood. He is unsuccessful.
- Krais asks Kaleena whether she would play the role of "The
Virgin" in Grint's ritual. She agrees.
- Illyan is spoken to by the angel: "Finish what I have begun."

- In the evening, Krais breaks into the Craftwright home.
- He drugs Lorik and successfully steal's Emmaelia's engagement
ring which he plants on Salmon Njedelstrom.
- When Krais returns, Grint tells him the whole truth and Krais
makes plans to follow Grint's ritual with or without the support
of his companions.

- Raza attempts to mentally contact the dreams of Altara, the
Vampire of Sorgar. He receives a rather disquieting reply from
Aldric Kurst.

it hasn't occupied since Hadradan times), and is now forcing his
way further west.
- Raza leads a force of Moonhunters to lend relief to the Salmayans.
He is accompanied by Arvan and Nicos.
- It is a three week march to Caldorath.

- Vitor Grushko returns to town hot on Malkor's heels.
- Vitor organises a secret meeting between the companions, Lanna
and Salia Brewer.
- He speaks of portents and the future. He says that the party
must find Galen Thorn before it is too late.
- Illyan and Arax uncover a message in Galen's letter for Krais.
They have a destination: Jeston.
- Thorn suggests taking The Demeter on the journey.
- Illyan talks to the angel and once again, it talks back to him.
- Nits and Kaleena volunteer to accompany the companions to Jeston.
- The seven leave Bear's Reach after dark for Deadman's Cove.

- Thorn renames the vessel The Rose (because every rose
