- Elias and Clanlord Elias duel, although both Ravenna and Alessandre
magically meddle on their respective behalfs.
- The duel is called off when three red dragons appear and attack
Raith. Everyone flees into the keep.
- Galachen Yine explains the attack as the Wyrm deliberately intervening
to stop the duel.
- There is a mellowing between Elias and Clanlord Elias. Elias
tells his counterpart everything that happened in Ündrachis
- including that they had a sister, and that their father might
still be alive.
- Elias says that they have to know the truth and proposes to
go to Ashardon and see what Dralcarnus says about Elias's tale.
Obviously they both cannot be Elias. However, no-one knows how
to work to the portal
- After a great discussion, Lokan hits upon the right combination
of orbs. Clanlord Elias sends Elias, Misgon, Drasha, Ravenna,
Lokan, Jessica, Torr and Jonus to Ashardon with his blessing.
- Shalnazara bars the way to Ashardon until Torr agrees to stay
and chat. Torr tells Shalnazara that he is an agent of the Arcanum
Incognita sent to investigate the Order of the Wyrm. Shalnazara
finds this very interesting.
- Torr is eventually allowed to follow his companions to Ashardon.

Iourn > Northern World > Urova > Norandor > Ashardon:
- Late in the day, Elias, Ravenna et al arrive in Ashardon and
encounter Dralcarnus.
- Dralcarnus simply confirms Clanlord Elias's version of events.
- They cannot use the portal here to return to Ündrachis;
it is broken and Dralcarnus cannot repair it.
- Elias asks Dralcarnus if he is willing to send the to the Maw
of Io again. Dralcarnus says that he is.

Iourn > Northern World > Urova > Norandor > Ashardon:
- Dralcarnus tells the party of the other eight temples of Io,
their alignment and where they are. However, because the names
of countries have changed time and again in the past 16,000 seasons
this is actually little help.
- The party travel to the Maw of Io to speak to the Teeth of Io.
En route they are attacked by a dying red dragon for no readily
apparent reasons. It almost kills them, but they survive.
- The group speaks to Ellesavial - one of the Teeth of Io - concerning
the events in Tibrai.
- He tells them many things, including that Quenqurial went to
Jotan's Point and never returned, but all of Jotan's Point and
most of Raith are hidden from the Teeth. The party find that Aldric
Kurst is indeed one of the Thirty.
- The wizard Deerkor (now a lich) escapes the Maw for Ashardon
when the portal is opened. Dralcarnus nabs the hapless lich and
makes him his new familiar.

- Thoroughly bored Nicos sneaks out to the Old Utavran Inn for
a swift half and gets involved in a bar room brawl with thugs
who recognise him and want the bounty on his head.. He is aided
by his new drinking buddy, the gnome Master 'Drinkabin' Hickery
Burply Belchh. They are victorious.
- A rather annoyed Rio finds Nicos and Drinkabin drunk under a
tree. She introduces Nicos to a group of adventures she has commissioned
to head to Sorgar and trace her father. Nicos meets Friar Barnabus
Inebriatus, Larrson Kovac, Dargon and Bernie de Chesiré.
- They disguise Nicos and depart for Sorgar by a circuitous route.

- Syrah Pendragon arrives in Uris. She immediately sets about
looking for Arvan.

- Although back in Ashardon, Elias, Ravenna and their companions
have no quick way to return to Raith.
- Dralcarnus hunts out what orbs he can find but they are insufficient.
- Deerkor is persuaded to get the portal working without them.

- Brack and Halbeara have now been prisoners of the drow for almost
two months.
- Brack is a slave in the service of drow house Nelinderra. He
is forced to fight in an arena for the amusement of his captors.
- After successfully beating a more powerful opponent, the ruling
house of Maerimydra takes interest in him, and Larala Nelinderra
gives Brack to Velina Maerimydra as a gift.
- But there is a conspiracy at work! Larala assembles Xyleria
Nelinderra, the spy Kaledas Maerimydra and the priestess of Kiaransalee,
Neema Soulrot, in a plan to kill Velina and Brack is to be the
assassin.
- Velina is planning to leave Kalisaan with a huge retinue in
three days. The party will go with her and then strike.

- Deerkor jury-rigs a magical devcie that can active the portal
in Ashardon.

Wilderness:
- Raza meets Newt, has an epiphany and decides to fight the lycanthropes,
reinstall himself as king of Norandor and save the world (but
not necessarily in that order).
- Raza battles Imelia Vyrn the afflicted lycanthrope who is trying
to kill Newt (he is her old apprentice). Raza subdues Imelia but
does not kill her.
Iourn > Northern World > Urova > Tibrai > Raith:
- The party arrive back in Ündrachis and speak to Clanlord
Elias. They put some doubt in his mind regarding the trustworthiness
of Alessandre, but do not know if anything will come of it.
- Jonus goes to speak with his dragon consort Kia, who may be
able to help them get into Jotan's Point. For Jonus's sake Kia
agrees to take the party into the city two days hence.
- Elias is taken to meet "the magic pixie" who turns
out to Nosuch.
- Nosuch believes that Mortimer is dead, and that Alessandre has
killed him. He accompanies Elias back to the boat.
- They notice kobold tracks in the area.

Caven:
- The retinue of House Maerimydra leaves Kalisaan. Velina is accompanied
by her chief arcanist, Duleth, Slavemistress Velesta, fifty clerics
of Lolth, a hunded warriors, fifty assorted slaves (half of which
are kuo-toans) and a small herd of rothé.
- In accordance with Larala's wishes they need to find more of
what Velina is up to. Kaledas starts digging.

Wilderness:
- As the full moon of Vítaeous ends, Imelia returns to
her normal state and agrees to help Raza find Zookie and the others,
and put Raza's grand plan into operation. Divinations are cast
and the three head west toward Salmaynak.
Iourn > Northern World > Urova > Tibrai > Raith:
- After a lazy morning, the party go and talk to Clanlord Elias,
while Jessica snoops around Raith Keep looking for evidence of
Mortimer's murder.
- They find Mortimer's familiar, a hamster called Gus. Gus says
that Mortimer was eaten by some "Monster in the Keep".
Clanlord Elias dismisses any notion that Alessandre could be involved.
The only monster here is Shalnazara.
- Elias increasingly sees Seneschal Lauren and Galachen Yine as
holding Clanlord Elias back from making the necessary leaps.
- The party encounter Captain Alliston of the "clanlord's
archery club" for the first time. He leads a group of warrior
loyal to Clanlord Elias and not the Seneschal Lauren.
- Sergenté reveals his fears that Dementer is actually
coming to Iourn.
- At dusk a procession of kobold monks arrive in town and speak
to Clanlord Elias. They are servants of the Wyrm and believe the
third sign of the prophecy (the Rise of the Dragon) is at hand.
- They say Dementer is making a pilgrimage to see Clanlord Elias's
son, and imply that the through the son the power of the Wyrm
will be complete.
- Jonus takes Elias to task over his treatment of Drasha.

Iourn > Northern World > Urova > Tibrai > Raith:
- Jessica tries to stir the Freedom Movement into action by going
to The Freeman and talkings to Gelleston.
- Gelleston's sweetheart is Clara, who knows a little about Mathias
Raithbourne. Her father, Bransook (who runs the other inn) was
very close to Mathias and a member of his personal guard.
- They speak to Bransook, but the innkeeper is canny and reveals
very little.
- At dusk Kia arrives to transport them to Jotan's Point. She
only has room to carry Elias, Jessica, Ravenna, Jonus and Torr,
everyone else returns to The Lady.

Iourn > Northern World > Urova > Tibrai > Jotan's
Point:
- The party explore Jotan's Point and speak to the kobold leader,
Karyip who points them in the direction of Mathias Raithborne.
- Mathias is living in his own filth in the remains of the lighthouse.
He is quite mad, and a tragic figure caught by his own magicks
and now a half-human mockery who has taken on a semi-draconic
appearance but none of the power.
- After a largely unproductive conversation, Mathias tells the
party that Quenqurial went into the domed temple of the Wyrm.
- The party try to enter the temple and are set upon by the koblods
that they barely defeat.
- Inside, they find the powdered remains of Quenqurial, and receive
a psychic message from him that he must be taken back to the Maw
of Io. They gather him up, but suddenly dragons erupt from the
ground and attack them. They have no chance.
- Mathias Raithborne arrives and holds off the dragons. He opens
a portal for their escape and they leap through it.
- Our heroes appear somewhere high above the group and plunge
into a point of lava.

- They conspire how best to move three hundred people out of Raith

- A huge dragon that defies description attacks the drow caravan.
Its powers seem to change with each passing moment.

- Bransook discovers the plans of the Freedom Movement and reports
it.
- Drasha tries to make Clanlord Elias see that Alessandre is linked

- Kaledas is sent to lead a scouting expedition - probably because
of his investigations. He takes Brack and Shredder.
- The group encounters some grimlocks.
- Xyleria begins her own investigations and talks to Duleth. He
speaks of a force rising in the deep places of the worlds that
could even threaten the drow, and that they are on an important
mission.
- He says their destination is the Isle of Lost Souls at the centre
of the Dhaeralus Sea - the old capital of the drow empire.
- Xyleria searches Duleth's chambers and discovers a case full
of Nina's blood, a large amount of powdered silver and a tome
written in Abyssal (a language she cannot read). This has all
the hallmarks of a summoning ritual of some sort.

- Yine has so terrified the Freedom Movement that they plan to
take their three hundred sympathisers through the portal to Ashardon.
- Drasha and Misgon manage to talk them out of it and are finally
welcomed into their conspiracy.
- This is reported by Bransook's daughter, Clara. Seneschal Lauren
decides the time has come to move against the rebellion.

Iourn > Northern World > Urova > Gunstadtan > Underbarron:
- Arvan, Rufus, Kell and Elleney arrive in Underbarron and speak
with King Kontüf who tells them of Brack's quest, and that
only one dwarf survived the expedition.
- They have an audience with Brosh Dväalzkhiin. Brosh is
ordered to lead Arvan and his companions to where Brack was last
seen in the hope that Brosh can find the Oval Stone.

- Lokan realises that Clara has been forced into spying for the
Seneschal by her father Bransook.
- He fetches Drasha and the pair try to rescue the girl, but Bransook
defeats them and has them locked up in the keep.
- Alessandre, Clanlord Elias, his archers, wizard and other allies
march on The Freeman to dismantle the Freedom Movement.
- Misgon and the Brute Squad fight valiantly, but are eventually
overwhelmed.
- Everyone is captured and imprisoned except Thorik who escapes
back to The Lady and informs the crew.

route: Kalisaan to Dhaeralus Sea:
- Brack and his companions encounter a mind-flayer called Gaavelm.
The illithid is dying after trying to ingest the brain of a strange
form-shifting creature that lies dead at his feet.
- The party save Gaavelm who tells them that an army of this changelings
attacked and overwhelmed a community of mind flayers. They determine
to bring this news (and Gaavelm) back to the drow.
- On the return to the caravan they are passed by the souls of
hundreds of disembodied drow.
- The caravan has been attacked by these changelings and utterly
destroyed. The party search the wreckage and pocket a large amount
of magical booty (including a strange holy symbol).
- Gaavelm realises that something isn't right. He targets a dispel
magic and reveals where Velina, Duleth and Nina Cross were
hiding. Remembering their original mission the party attack the
badly wounded pair.
- Kaledas shoots a poisoned bolt at Velina, killing her instantly.
Brack cuts Duleth in two and then Xyleria fries him from a distance.
Kaledas tries to kill Gaavelm as well but the mind flayer escapes.
- Kaledas decides to take Nina Cross and leave for the surface
world. No-one stop him.
- The party unwilling revive Neceres to question the dead.
- They discover most of the truth about the changeling menace,
and that Velina was actually doing a good turn for the drow in
that she was going to summon Orcus - the only creature that could
stop them. However, Orcus and Kiaransalee are implacable enemies
and Neceres will not hear of continuing the scheme.
- Brack realises that the chanelings were released from their
imprisonment at the same time the wards on Karatath's prison started
to weaken. Coincidence?
- The group decide to return to Kalisaan. Xyleria intends to help
Brack free Halbeara and regain his property.

threaten rebellion.
- Clanlord Elias has no desire to see blood spilt and is inclined
to simply let there people leave.
- Thorik arrives in the Keep to bargain for the release of the
prisoners but is rebuffed.

- The party are attacked by a horned devil in the service of Qarathak
(aka Asmodeus - one of the Thirty!)
- Fortunately (and miraculously) it is charmed by Xyleria.
- The devil has a hatred of Orcus and the demons of the Abyss
and takes almost all the information the party have on the matter
to his master. They escape with their lives, but feel as though
they have been mugged.

- Seventy barbarians arrive in Raith and set up camp. They are
the first pilgrims following the star (Dementer) to Raith Keep

of Gulganesh:
- The group led by Brosh arrives on the cavern floor at the bottom
of the Chasm of Gulganesh. There are a lot of undead dwarves about,
but the party can deal with these.
- Arvan uses his tracking skills to detect that two dwarves and
Shredder were led from the cave by a bunch of humanoids that could
well have been the drow. He follows the tracks in the direction
of Kalisaan.

- The party arrive to see the city being destroyed by Changelings.
- After a brief battle they sneak in and find their way to House
Nelinderra. There, Xyleria betrays the drow and aids Brack.
- Brack frees Halbear and reclaims the Vathek Stone and the crystal
library.
- Brack Ogrebane, Halbeara and Shredder escape with their new
ally Xyleria Maerimydra. Necrocurse Neema Soulrot departs for
the places unknown (perhaps even the surface world) to cause as
much havoc as possible.
- Brack and the others begin their long journey back to Kûlhazan.

- En route to Kalissan Arvan celebrates his birthday. It is now
's birthday. His body is now 15 seasons of age (3¾ years
old!) However, Arvan has actually lived through thirty-five seasons,
and his actual birth was twenty-five seasons ago.

- Xyleria proposes to use a new-found scroll to mineralise
Brack. As a side effect it will make him her servant for a season
and a day. Brack is willing, but Halbeara is outraged.
- Halbeara 'convinces' Xyleria to join with her as a bondskin.
That way Xyleria could never harm her, and therefore never harm
Brack. Xyleria agrees.
- After a complicated ritual, Xyleria and Halbeara are one. It
is an odd feeling for the drow.

- Xyleria casts a spell that mineralises Brack.
- Although she promises not to abuse the power, Brack is now compelled

King Abrinthor.

Iourn > Northern World > Urova > Norandor > Sorgar:
- Nicos and company finally arrive in Sorgar and begin their investigation
searching for Amarice.
- Nicos calls in old favours at the Church of Water, and speaks
to Alamanda. He tactfully informs her that Alessandre "took
one for the team".
- After speaking to Tipples, the barman of The Willow it
slowly dawns where Amarice must have gone.
- Nicos takes the evening to tell his companions everything he
can remember about the Vampire of Sorgar.

- Fights are breaking out due to lack of space, and Clanlord Elias

- Thorik Tannesh masterminds a scheme to break Drasha, Lokan,
Misgon, the Brute Squad, Gelleston, Hoyle and the Winnites from
the dungeons of Raith Keep.
- The escape is successful and the prisoners escape west on The
Lady.
- They skirt the tip of the Buttress Peninsular looking for a
safe harbour. These are dangerous lands.

- Arvan, Brosh, Kell, Rufus and Elleney arrive at Kalisaan and
find the city a flaming ruin.
- They meet Syrah Pendragon who has been sent by the Saldarím
to find Arvan.
- They search the city looking for Brack and come across Uelwen,
an ex-slave of the drow, who describes the changelings and the
fate that befell Kalisaan. There is also evidence of illithid
activity in the city.
- The party are attacked by a chaos beast, and rescued by a mysterious
traveller called Warmi.
- Warmi tells the party that a group of illithids have a captured
changeling which they are delivering a dark master. She wants
the party's help in stopping them. They agree, if she helps them
find the Oval Stone.
- Warmi and Arvan's group find the driders that have the Oval
Stone and destroy them from a distance with ranged spells.
- Brosh finally has the Oval Stone in his possession.

- Nicos and his companions cross the bay to the lair of the Vampire
of Sorgar.
- Things go spectacularly wrong from the outset and the entire
group is overpowered by vampires.

- The Lady anchors in a bay twenty miles north of Raith.
- Sergenté fears that the arrival of Dementer will herald

holder of the Blade of Hope. She tells him that Brack is safe,
but that Nicos is terrible danger and needs his help.
- Merissa reveals to Arvan a quicker way to the surface world.

- Alhanna kidnaps Misgon and runs off into the wilderness. The

- Lokan sends word to Thorik of what has happened, and the foursome
return to the ship.

- After ten days of travelling through unfamiliar terrain, Arvan
and his companions Brosh, Elleney, Kell, Rufus and Syrah emerge
not far from Dragonmount on the main road between Northmeet and
Uris.
- They quickly find some mounts and continue the race to Sorgar.

- Brack, Shredder, Xyleria and Halbeara arrive back in Kûlhazan.
Xyleria is placed in proctective custody.
- The dwarves meet with King Abrinthor who welcomes them warmly.
- Abrinthor listens to their tale and decides that the Vathek
Stone should be return to Dûnhazan. He commands that after
Brack and Halbeara have rested, they should take Xyleria and make
the journey to the seat of the High King.

- Arvan and his companions stop at the seacave near Gallworth
where they leave Warmi for safe-keeping.
- Elleney believes that the suspended animation could keep Warmi
safe indefinitely.

breaks down in tears to Misgon.
