FAQ

Iourn Home > Time and the Moons

This section intoduces players to how time is measured on Iourn, and also underlines the importance of celestial events such as the movements of the moons through the sky. The most important thing that new players have to know is that the world of Iourn turns much more slowly than Earth. One season on Iourn is roughly equal to one year of Earth time. Therefore someone who is seven years old on Iourn has actually lived through the equivalent of twenty-eight Earth years. Age, therefore, tends to be measured in seasons. The aforementioned seven year old would probably refer to themselves as being twenty-eight seasons of age.
