Races of Iourn
(Including Templates)

There are many and varied races open to players creating a character for an Iourn campaign. The choice of race may be limited in some campaigns, and of course Iourn has the "elf" issue as you will see as you continue. In this section, I present background information for the main player character races of Iourn. As different races become available as PCs I will include more informaiton in this section. Equally, if I suddenly find I have a lot to say about NPC races then you will find that here as well.

What you won't find here is any game-related information or house rule changes to the way races work. That information is presented in the Races and Monsters section of the D&D site. For the most part I have tried to divorce the mechanics from the description. Iourn is, at its heart, generic D&D so any information you read in sourcebooks such as Races of Stone or Races of Faerûn is also likely to apply here. However, please ask before making any assumptions.

This section is a work in progress and although I have expanded the section on Men to my satisfaction details on the other races remain as they were on the previous incarnation of this website. Time has got the better of me in this regard, but I hope to expand the section on the other races over the coming weeks and months.
