The Great Dark. Long has it been a place of revulsion and infamy. Certainly, we may have journeyed there in the past but the visits have always been brief. Until now. This time, the Great Dark is not simply somewhere to visit: it is home. In the corrupt city of Tharkis, ten days before the two-thousandth anniversary of the Ascension of the Witch-Queen, six disparate and seemingly unconnected individuals come together. What is the common purpose that unites them, and will it be enough to keep them together? For this is no ordinary party! Shudder at the condemned Death Knight doomed to a life of evil! Applaud the animated skeleton who gained intelligence from the books he cares for! Fear the barghest of the feral plains! Pity the friendless nezumi who has allowed his body to be repeated violated by foul experiments! Wonder at the drow abomination on an unknown mission!
