Being Part One of The Crucible of Youth Campaign

A terrible and unnatural storm ravages Bear's Reach. In the aftermath, our heroes discover that the town has been changed by more than a few fallen trees and missing tiles. The wizard Trevane embarks on a journey to parts unknown, for reasons undisclosed. He leaves a mysterious letter and instructions that it should be opened if he fails to return. If that were not portentious enough, Baron Tannith Swift and his retinue arrive in the village with a mission to raise one hundred and forty-nine seasons worth of back taxes for the new king. The baron does not make himself a popular man. Presented over three sessions:
