Iourn Home > Gazetteer > Norandor

The oldest and most civilised of lands on the Urovan continent, Norandor was first to fall to Hadradan expansion in 350 PL. It became the base of operations for the new rulers of the continent and as a result received all the advantages the advanced Hadradans had to offer. The invaders created cities, fortresses and an infrastructure unmatched in Urova. In 204 LE many of the Hadradan achievements have fallen into ruin and disuse but some of the great cities still stand and the ancient roads are still in use. It is telling that of all the fragmented lands of Urova, Norandor is alone in being ruled by one king. Well, almost one king.

Norandor is also the crucible of the moon faiths. Uros was a native of Norandor, and it is here that he climbed to the top of Mount Korvast and summoned the gods. Norandor is a holy land, in addition to anything else that it may be, and the moon faiths are stronger here than they are anywhere else.
