Tam: One of the soldiers in the
retinue of Baron Tannith Swift who came to Bear's Reach on 30 Chillbone
204. One of the guards who allowed Arax Chandar to escape on 32
Chillbone, he was subsequently trapped in a golden globe of energy
when he attempted to follow the fleeing wizard into the Old Mill.
He was later rolled to the stables where he was stored until the
spell ended on the 41st. Tam showed no desire to pursue his companions
into the Whittenwood and without a horse had no means of doing so.
He was placed in the care of Cavark Walker who invited Tam to move
in with his family.
Tannesh, Alhanna: Ravenna's mother.
Missing for some time.
Tannesh, Jhasik: Ravenna's uncle,
professional jeweller and part-time alchemist. Jhasik runs a very
successful jewellery business in Uris - successful thanks to the
presence of Thorangrim the dwarf. Jhasik never wanted Ravenna to
leave after the disappearance of her parents. He considers her a
soft, gentle, naïve sort of girl. When Thorangrim was arrested
for murder and taken back to Gunstadtan, Jhasik's wealth crumbled.
Besieged by a legion of creditors he has taken refuge in the royal
palace.
Tannesh, Ravenna: Young sorceress
from Uris who set out in the Gentle Days of 204 to find her mssing
parents Alhanna and Thorik. She joined Narramac's grand quest where
she met her companions Elias, Minsc, Nicos Allumière, Arvan
and Raza de Luna. Ravenna is a headstrong girl; her singlemindedness
often bringing her into conflict with the rest of the group. She
is never far from an albino wolfcub who is not a pet but her familiar,
and a gift from her mentor Derriac. Ravenna still has an uncle in
Uris who runs a successful jewellery business. She recently discovered
that Derriac has disappeared, although she believes that he still
lives. Ravenna became one of the Chosen of Narramac with her victory
in the grand quest. At the royal court she met a man called Ralyon
Artusi who hopes one day to be king. Ravenna completely fell for
the man and he seems to reciprocate the affection, although his
position makes romance difficult. Ravenna is tutored in the ways
of magic by a sorceress called Alys.
Tannesh, Thorik: Ravenna's father.
Missing for some time.
Tarex [high holy witness of doom]:
Highest priest of the Watchers on the Cusp of Oblivion on Iourn,
and morticor of Norandor. An advisor to the aged king Yaddagon XIV,
Tarex lives at Oblivios in Uris. He desperately tried to avoid an
armed conflict with the Church of Fire following the Heena incident,
but after Van Caspan's death and Tarrashar's admission of guilt
he had no choice. Tarex is not an unreasonable man, and his conversation
with Varamil and Salamar Russ on 1 Lollmeadow 204 helped him to
use the Enclave to end the war. He was present at the Hill of Heroes
for the Ceremony of the Sword on 25 Heathaze 204.
Tarlas: Resident of Weyland and
deputy to Tobias.
Tarran: One of the members of
the dwarven warband that arrived in Uris on 42nd Suntask 204 searching
for murdered of King Evabold of Kulhazan. Returned to Kulhâzan
with Grimm and the captive Thorangrim, arriving on 27th Midsummer
204.
Tarrashar: High priest of the
Church of Fire. Based in Uris. Travelled to the Village jut after
the dark of the moon of Calafax in Brightday 204 to prevent Belarus
Rothsman from resurrecting Heena and starting a holy war. He arrived
too late and his relationship with Rothsman became very strained.
Tarrashar admitted to Tarex that the Church of Fire had murdered
Ulish Van Caspan. This directly led to the conflict between the
churches. Rothsman sees this as evidence of Tarrashar's complicity
in the war, but nothing has ever been proved.
Taum: One of the soldiers in
the retinue of Baron Tannith Swift who came to Bear's Reach on 30
Chillbone 204. He pursued Vitor Grushko into the Whittenwood on
34 Chillbone. It is not known whether he still lives.
Taverner, Marie: Fruit seller
based in Uris. Owed money by Jhasik.
Teeth of Io: The name given to
the honour guard of the dragon god, Io.
Telbrite: Clerk and assistant
to Niergan dwarf-friend.
Telesko, Rosemary: Wavemistress
of the Coral Palace in Sorgar.
Telmarcus [captain]: Important
figure in Duke Ipso's Timberlake guard.
Terranaor: Moon god of earth,
mountains, forests, nature, strength, loyalty, justice, law and
autumn. Terranor is worshipped in four main churches: The Church
of Earth worships the element of earth; The Justician faith holds
true to honour, justice and order and is followed by many paladins;
The Sylvani faith takes Terranor as the god of all nature; and the
Church of the Land holds Terranor as the patron of agriculture and
farming.
Teryp: Innkeeper of The Second
Ship in Gallworth.
Tharkis: Vast city in the Great
Dark, ruled by Grelka. Tharkis sits on the coast of a great pungent
sea. Although unsafe in the extreme, it is still a much safer place
to live than the countryside that surrounds it.
Thenneus: One of the members
of the dwarven warband that arrived in Uris on 42nd Suntask 204
searching for murdered of King Evabold of Kulhazan. Thenneus was
a priest of the dwarven god, Moradin. He returned to Kulhâzan
with Grimm and the captive Thorangrim, arriving on 27th Midsummer
204.
Theology of Dragons, The: Ancient
tome of knowledge translated by the scribe Alladaine from the work
of an ancient scholar called Persephariel. The book is enormous,
measuring four feet to each side, and could be hundreds of years
old. It is written in an ancient form of draconic not easily understandable
in modern times.
Thok: Ancient ruined city deep in the desert in Junos. Thok is reputed
to hold the answers to many ancient riddles. It is also a bloody
dangerous place.
Thirteen Companions: Name given
to the thirteen individuals who left Uris in 38 LE to join Scarman
Thorn in a new life in the wilds. They were: Jedson Valmar, Dael
Forester, Kilrathy, Candar, Marko Chiesa, Obadiah Westram, Belroth
Goodie, Prathric Lyar, Rastin Mulbraen, Gul Njedelstrom, Llaeric
Waveservant, Arok Whiteheart, Sidwé Von Turnsgate and Bilious
Belboa.

employed by Squire Osroth. Stabbed to death by Elias at Osroth Manor
on 6th Brightday 204.

Allumière by Elias Raithborne on 26th Brightday 204.
Thomset, Janus (Scribe): Extremely
junior member of the Scriverners of Doom who accompany Tannith Swift
to Bear's Reach. Thomsett performed his role adequately, but was
ill-prepared for the murder and events that followed.
Thorangrim: Dwarven alchemist
who travelled to Uris, arriving in the New Year of 204. He was invited
into a partnership by Ravenna's uncle Jhasik on 4th Crispeven 204
and agreed readily. The complete novelty of a dwarven jeweller has
greatly increased the prosperity of the shop. On 42nd Suntask 204
a dwarven warband led by Warmaster Grimm arrived in Uris to apprehend
Thorangrim, believeing him to be the murdered of King Evabold of
Kulhazan. Thorangrim put up no resistance and after a short spell
in prison was taken back to Gunstadtan. In Kulhazan, Ravenna tried
to get Thorangrim off - convinced of the dwarf's innocence - until
she heard the true story. Evabold was a Malificent and Thorangrim
was a scapegoat to protect the true killer: Prince Abinthor. Thorangrim
is currently awaiting a trial that is a formality and probably execution.
Thundercrown Mountains: Also known as the Thunderers, these mountains
sit in the middle of the Relkimas Plain in Tibrai and are a source
of evil. Perpetually shrouded in violent thunderstorm, some peaks
are almost five miles high. The mountains are held holy by the church
of Zephyre.
Thorn, Aelius: Great-uncle of
Krais Brewer. Aelius was the eldest son of the infamous Dorman Thorn,
born in Autumn 184. When his father died in Autumn 186, Aelius became
head of the family at the age of eight seasons. He married Cadence
Walker when he was only sixteen seasons of age in Autumn 188 and
the pair quickly produced their first child, Mycroft. However, the
marriage was not a happy one and legend has it that Cadence refused
to share Aelius's bed after the wedding night making the existence
of Mycroft all the more remarkable. When Aelius's youngest brother,
Galen, decided to leave Bear's Reach to seek adventure in Autumn
189, Aelius tried to stop him but to no avail. Aelius and his brothers
Lucius and Marcus were killed in a tragic fishing accident in Spring
190. This accident is largely blamed for the eventual end of the
Thorn line.
Thorn, Cadence (née Walker):
Krais Brewer's great aunt by marriage. Cadence was born in Autumn
184 and was persauded to marry the poe-faced Aelius Thorn in Autumn
188. The marriage was not a happy one and produced only one child
(Mycroft) before Aelius was killed in Spring 185. Cadence lived
a comfortable life as the old Thorn matriarch before she died in
Winter 201. She always disapproved of the activities of her brother-in-law,
Galen.
Thorn, Dorman: Great-grandfather of Krais Brewer. Dorman Thorn was
an infamous character who fathered four strong sons (and one daughter)
and is said to be the epitome of all it means to be a Thorn. He
was born in Winter 177 towards the end of the orc wars. There are
three different accounts of his death in Autumn 186 (aged 35 seasons).
He fell in battle after routing a force of a hundred orcs, he was
eaten by a great dragon (and killed it by sticking in its throat),
or he was dragged beneath the waves while wrestling with a great
serpent. All or none of these might be true.
Thorn, Galen: Krais Brewer's
grandfather. The youngest son of Dorman Thorn, born in Winter 185.
Galen never knew his father being only three seaosn of age when
Dorman died. In his youth Galen felt claustrophobic and hemmed in
by Bear's Reach and the burden of the Thorn name. Taking full advantage
of being the youngest son Galen left when he was fifteen seasons
of age (Autumn 189) and set out for adventure. He returned twenty
seaons later with two companions from his travels: Vitor and Yelanna
Grushko. He discovered, to his horror, that all his brothers were
dead and that he was the last remaining Thorn. Galen married Thora
Chandar who had had a crush on Galen since her youth. He then took
over the inn that had been faithfully run by Mulbrin Brewer. He
and Thora had a child, Salia, but tragically Thora died in childbirth.Galen
raised Salia alone. As the years passed Galen's boredom increased,
he wanted to go away again on one last adventure. Not even the presence
of his well-love grandchildren (especially Krais) could shake this
notion. In Summer 202 Galen had finally had enough. He handed control
of the inn over to his daughter's husband, Tarn Brewer, and left
Bear's Reach. He was sixty-six seasons of age at the time. He has
not been seen since and is widely believed to be dead. If he still
lives, Galen is the last living male to carry the Thorn name.
Thorn, Kara (née Craftwright):
Aunt of Krais Brewer and sister of Garnet Craftwright. Kara was
born in Spring 189. Gold-digger who married Mycroft Thorn in Winter
192. The pair had three daughters: Iona, Moria and Delia.
Thorn, Lucius: Great-uncle of
Krais Brewer. Lucius was the third son of Dorman Thorn, and was
born in Autumn 185. Because of their ages, Lucius was very close
to his brother Galen and was very tempted when Galen asked Lucius
to coem away with him and seek fortune in the wider world in Autumn
189. In the end Lucius stayed in the village in deference to the
wishes of Aelius. He was drowned when the boat that he, Aelius and
Marcus were travellign in sank in Spring 185. Lucius never married
and had no children.
Thorn, Marcus: Great-uncle of
Krais Brewer. Marcus was the second son of Dorman Thorn, and was
born in Spring 185. Marcus was an extremely gifted fisherman and
it was his boat that sank killing him and his brothers Aelius and
Lucius in Spring 190. Marcus never married and had no children.
Thorn, Moira: Cousin of Krais
Brewer. Middle child of Mycroft and Kara Thorn. Moira was born in
Winter 193. A committed spinster, Moira has enjoyed a life without
marriage or children. At present she is being wooed by the widower,
Lorik Craftwright, who (after six daughters with his last wife)
is desperate for a male heir.
Thorn, Mycroft: Uncle of Krais
Brewer. Born to paents Aelius and Cadence Thorn in Autumn 188. I
myopic, hunched figure Mycroft had none of the power or the regal
bearing of the Thorns that came before him. But, he was a Thorn
and had no trouble secruing a wife. He married Kara Craftwright
in Winter 192. Unfortunately for the Thorn line they produced three
daughters. The Thorn name effectively died when Mycroft did in Autumn
198.
Thorn, Rhiannon: A barbarian
princess wooed successfully by Scarman Thorn during his legendary
imprisonment. History says little about Rhiannon. She is described
as a "Spear Maiden" and oulived Scarman Thorn. She met
her end in an orc ambush. Although she was able to despatch seventeen
of the assailants her spear was broken and she was killed. On the
evening of 33 Chillbone 204 Arax Chandar encountered what could
possibly be the spirit of Rhiannon Thorn in the graveyard in Bear's
Reach.
Thorn, Scarman: Known as the
great founder of Bear's Reach, Scarman was a hunter who travelled
to the area in 36 LE and was subsequently captured by the local
barbarians. Scarman went onto marry the chieftain's daughter and
became the chief himself. Scarman and his thirteen companions laid
the foundation that changed a barbarian tribe into the Bear's Reach
of today. Everyone in the town remembers him, everyone reveres him
and everyone wants to prove they are descended from him.
Thorn, Thora (née Chandar):
Grandmother of Krais Brewer and great aunt of Arax Chandar. Thora
was born in Winter 186. In her youth she had a great crush on Galen
Thorn and she pined for him when he lef on his great adventure in
Autumn 189. The slightly mad Thora waited twenty seasons for him
and they were married on his return in Autumn 194. Sadly she died
giving birth to their first child, Salia, in Winter 194.
Tibrai: Human land in south-western
Urova, on the very edge of the known world. Inhabitants of Tibrai

Mountains that sit in the middle of the land. The capital city is

in 123 LE.
Tobias: The warder of Weyland
who instigated a hunt for his missing children on 18 Chillbone 203.

to grips with the deaths of his children, and the subsequent possession
of their corpses. Encounterd by the Chosen of Narramac on 45th Lollmeadow
204.
Toby: Son of Tobias and Alessa.
Killed on 12 Scatterseed 203, his body was animated by vengeful
forest spirits. The spirit was eventually killed by the wizardess,
on 18 Chillbone of the same year.
Tok: Animal companion of Arvan
Walker-in-Shadows, and full-time badger. He was released at the
edge of the Plains of Acheron on 32nd Midsummer 204.

in ornate designs, and great statues of previous kings flank the
entrance. It is here that the kings of Norandor are laid to rest.

joined Narramac's grand quest. He was teamd with Iltillmus, Chargek,
Morgon, Yargon and Plensis.

local inn.

from the town of Oakholme. He captured the party (2) on 6th Brightday
204 and sent them to find justice with Duke Colharn.
Trevane: A wizard who arrived
in Bear's Reach in Spring 202 and took up residence in the Old Mill
which he altered to accomondate his needs. A naturally curt and
abupt man, Trevane has given the residents of the village no trouble
in all the time he has dwelt there, but neither has he done anything
to help them. He refused an invitation to take a seat on the village
council and prefers to be left alone. On the whole the residents
of the town are more than happy to obligue. In Spring 204 Trevane
took young Arax Chandar as his apprentice. No-one knows why he chose
to do this and, if Arax knows, he isn't telling. Trevane's motives
remain as much a mystery as ever. Trevane saved the town food-stores
from the terrible storm of 29 Chillbone. The following day he left
town without a word of explanation.
Tribunal: A branch of the Justician
faith that investigators internal corruption with the church.
Tribunes: Inquisitors of the Justician church.
Troklin: Cleric of Calafax -
probably of the Church of Contention. Joined Narramac's quest of
Brightday 204 and was teamed with Ariadne, Carrac, Rashadar, Scarin
and Lafdan.
Tronkyte, Ulgin: Sea captain
who makes the trade run between Uris and Demdomin in Calclafique.
He is owed money by Jhasik.
Truthseekers: A slang term for
members of the Desideratum Veritas. Usually not said to their face.
Tular [archdruid]: Archdruid
of the Norandon circle. Tular was the druid who instructed Arvan
to join Narramac's great quest. Tular was later revealed to be a
Malificent, who was behind the rape of the Plains of Acheron. Tular
was trying to open a portal to some dark dimension, but he was thwarted
by the Chosen of Narramac. Tular perished when he (and Arvan) fell
through the portal on 34th Midsummer 204.
Tursep [count]: Current count
of Arawn.
The Twelve: A legendary group
of extraordinary powerful and pious paladins who roam the world
righting the greatest wrongs. They are a strong force for good and
every paladin one day aspires to become a member. No one can be
nominated for The Twelve. When one dies, the remaining paladins
choose the new successor. The Twelve are only tenuously linked to
the Justician faith, some say they are a religion in their own right.
