Ragginbone: Beggar imprisoned
in the dungeon of Castle Northmeet on 13th Brightday 204. He claimed
to once have been a famous burglar before age turned him into a
poor excuse for comic relief. Ragginbone escaped with Ravenna, Elias,
Nicos, Arvan and Raza from the cells. He was last seen hobbling
into the dark with an arrow sticking out of his shoulder. Ravenna
was of the opinion that Ragginbone was a powerful spell-caster who
somehow used his magic to help them all to escape. Ragginbone was
later revealed to be an ambulent controlled by Narramac.
Rain, Lyra: Warrioress from Kovar
in Kerikal, who was left by Gilvan Goldenmane to guard the town
while he went to dispose of Goretooth on 29th Midsummer 204. Lyra
is an unkempt, but skillful fighter, who regrets being born a woman.
Raith Keep: Place where Elias
Raithborne grew up. The ruins it is built on are made of the same
material as the temple of Io discovered underneath the Barrowmoors
on 40th Brightday 204.
Raithborne, Drasha [lady]: The
youngest daughter of Count Awlton, Drasha was married to Baron Joseph
Leston on 7 Baretwig 201 when she was barely 16 seasons. There was
no love in the union, although it was considered a very advantageous
marriage for Drasha. The life of a noblewoman was a little tame
for the adventuresome girl, and she built something of a reputation
for herself as a swordswoman. A fencing mishap when she was nineteen
seasons rendered her unable to have children; to his credit, her
honourable husband did not cast her out. Despite the trauma she
remained more interested in adventure than society, and joined Narramac's
great quest in Brightday 204 where she was teamed with Misgon, Whisper,
Deerkor, Kismo and Josepp. She saved Ravenna's life at the hands
of Whisper on 38 Brightday 204, and went on to betray her evil companions
to the party (3). She has a sisterly affection for Misgon and tries
to protect the boy. She agreed to stay at Ashardon when the party
(3) left for Mount Korvast, but left in early Suntask 204 following
the theft of the Heart of Llysallian. She came to Uris to seek the
help of the Chosen. She became good friends with Elias and the others,
inviting them to a party organised by husband on 20 Suntask 204.
Following the Chosen of Narramac's recovery of the Heart of Llysallian,
Drasha volunteered to return the Heart to Dralcarnus and left Uris
on 4 Lollmeadow 204. On 38 Lollmeadow, Elias made the mistake of
writing Drasha a letter, thanking her for everything. In her absence
the letter was opened by her husband, and believing Drasha and Elias
were having an affair, he challenged Elias to the Rite of Horann
on Elias's return to Uris on 22 Heathaze 204. Despite Elias's best
attempts to get out of it, he and Leston duelled later the same
day. Elias killed Leston and inherited his title and all his lands
and possession including, under Norandon law, Drasha. Drasha was
shocked to find herself Elias's new wife, but did not blame Elias
for Leston's actions. She did her best to play the dutiful wife
to Elias, revealing to him that she was barren. A great awkwardness
existed between the two, that Elias tried to dispel by saying that
there was no-one else he would rather be with. Over the following
days Elias's admiration of Drasha grew as she went out of her way
to aid the Chosen in their efforts to free Wren (Rio) from the Grand
Conflagration. She is currently trying to instruct Elias on how
to run the barony of Umbria.
Raithborne, Elias [Baron, Clanlord]:
Clanlord, caravan guard, crossbow-man and sometime sorcerer. Originally
from distant Tibrai, Elias travelled to Norandor to find means to
destroy a powerful dragon that had taken over his home. Like his
father before him, Elias is a member of the Order of the Wyrm -
a religious cult that hold dragons to be holy. After being distracted
for several seasons he joined Narramac's grand quest of Brightday
204 where he met his companions Ravenna, Raza, Nicos, Arvan and
Minsc. Elias is completely smitten with the bard, Alessandre. Victorious
in the grand quest, Elias and the others became the Chosen of Narramac.
This was an opportunity for Elias to start using his title again.
Raldan [archdruid]: Druid of
the Kerikite Circle who came to the moot of 25th Lollmeadow in the
Úngorn to beg for help in destroying the dark nexus in Kerikal.
Raldan could not believe that Shadow Circle was involved in such
a serious matter. He was murdered in Timberlake, by the trecherous
Archdruid Tular on 37th Lollmeadow 204.
Rashadar: Cleric of Agiostic
Church (Sharrash). Teamed with Ariadne, Scarina, Lafdan, Rashadar
and Carrac in Narramac's grand quest of Brightday 204.
Raynar: Herald in the service
of Alberdark, brought to Mount Korvast in Brightday 204 as part
of the chancellor's retinue.
Rebecca: Druidic initiate of
the Kerikite Circle who fought the forces of evil in the Plains
of Acheron during Midsummer 204.

the retinue of Baron Tannith Swift who came to Bear's Reach on 30
Chillbone 204. He pursued Vitor Grushko into the Whittenwood on
34 Chillbone. It is not known whether he still lives.
Rellick: Wizened old healer who
arrived at the Forester Lodge in Autumn 203 and stayed for two seasons
before his death on 12 Crispeven 204. Rellick taught the fourteen-season
old Illyan the secrets of his order. He said he was travelling through
Bear's Reach on his way to the House of Stone where many secrets
of his healing order lay. Rellick taught Illyan how to wield power
as a druid does and use it to help people, and instructed him on
the passive and non-violent ethos that he held dear. On his death
Rellick left "things undone", and he requested that his
remains be immediately exhumed and purified in a complicated ritual
at the Mannell Falls. Whether this has anything to do with the apparent
possession of Salia Brewer remains to be seen.
Rembrandt: Along with his mirror-twin,
Kelton, Rembrandt, is a sorcerer of highly unusual talent and skill.
An arcanist of fairly impressive power in his own right, Rembrand
is truly formidable when he talents are combined with his brother's.
Rembrandt and Kelton are known throughout Norandor as truly dangerous,
and slightly mad indivduals. They are known to ally themselves with
the Bombastic church. The exact nature and extent of their powers
has never been measured, but they are seldom defeated. On 1 Lollmeader
204 they joined the Bombastic cell that invaded Caled Castle. They
were driven off by the Chosen of Narramac. Encountered again by
Nicos on 22nd Heathaze 204 when he was in the company of Boudewijn
Berdgardt. Rembrandt and his brother betryed Boundewijn and set
up a duel between him and Nicos that ended with Boudewijn's incarceration
by the Church of Fire.
Renus, Ogan: Eldagairé
representative on the Council of Adventure.
Reshen, Jessnic [baronet]: Sir
Jesnic lives in Northmeet and is head of the Reshen clan. His symbol
is a black hawk on a red background. He is ageing, and never got
over the disappearance of his first born son, Xaldan in Late Harvest
203. His younger son, Silas has never been worthy of the family
title in his eyes. Following the news of the demise of Xaldan, Jessnic
died on 2nd First Steps 204.
Reshen, Silas [baronet]: Younger
brother of Xaldan Reshen who embarked on a quest to rescue his brother
from the Wraith Haunt on 36th Scatterseed 204. Struck a bargain
with Furnice for the lives of himself, the party (4) and the villagers
of Garwood. Currently renowed as a hero. Became a baronet on the
death of his father in early First Steps 204. He attended the grand
ball in honour of the Chosen of Narramac on 14th Suntask 204.
Reshen, Xaldan: Northmeet noble
and white necromancer who embarked on an expedition to the Wraith
Haunt on 28 Late Harvest 203. He was captured by the witchwyrd Sarakite
and turned into an ghast, but retained enough awareness to get a
message for help out to his family. He was later randomly despatched
by the barbarian Bronx in fit of pique.
Rex: One of the guards employed
by Squire Osroth of Oakholme. He was working at Osroth Manor on
the evening of 6th Brightday 204 when he was burned to death by
the fire cleric, Nicos. He leaves a wife and five children.
Righteous Order of the Eternal Light:
An all-female order of Paladins located in southern Norandor. They
are a new order, but swiftly winning glory for themselves.
Rite of Horann: A duelling convention
began in the Norandon town of Horann. The first party considers
himself to have been dishonoured by the second party, and challenges
that party to a duel. It was believed that skill in battle would
prove the truth of an argument. The duel was always to the death.
The victor was proved to be correct and inherited the titles and
possessions of the loser (including his wife). To refuse the rite
is to be branded a pariah with no more rights than a slave. The
only non-violent way to end a Rite of Horann is if the first party
retracts the challenge. This is very old rite and had not been used
in Norandor in generations before Baron Leston challenged Elias
Raithborne to it on 22nd Heathaze 204.
River Running: Fast moving river
that meanders more than six hundred miles in its seventy mile voyage
to the sea. The river begins in White Bear Peak and runs close to
the town of Bear's Reach.

based in Uris. Owed money by Jhasik.

of Narramac's domestic staff. He is particularly responsible for
the well-being of Nicos Allumière.
Rokarn, Grendel: Head of Clan
Rokarn, a powerful part of the dwarven hold of Kulhâzan. Grendel
is a known Malificent who supported the activity of the old king,
Evabold. Grendel objected to the coronation of Prince Abrinthor,
knowing that Abrinthor was complicit in Evabold's death, but not
being able to prove it without revealing himself.
Rollo: A member of the Chosen
of Narramac's domestic staff. He is particularly responsible for
the well-being of Brack Ogrebane.
Rothsman, Belarus [first flame]:
Head of the Church of Fire in the Village of the Eighteen Churches.
Rothsman is a good friend of Gunlarr and promised to resurrect his
wife Heena for just a fraction of his normal fee. Rothsman is loud,
belligerent and bellicose and is given to much feasting, drinking
and over indulgence. He threw a small party for Gunlarr and Raza
on 1st Brightday 204, ordering four prostitutes that he was forced
to take to his own bed due to Raza's unwillingness and Gunlarr's
inability. He was not too upset by this. The theft of Heena's finger
led the stubborn Rothsman into a conflict with the Watchers based
in The Village. He then created a schism between the church of fire
and the Watchers by resurrecting Heena without the permission of
his own superior, Tarrashar. Following the murder of Ulish Van Caspan
on 1st Suntask 204 (and the subsequent war) Rothsman was removed
as First Flame of Infernus. He subsequently escaped and went to
ground - an action that seemed to underline his cuplability. However,
Rothsman aided Archnecrotain Varamil and Druid Jelanie in putting
a stop to the war. When the truth of Van Caspan's death came out,
Thaddeus Carvin was executed and Vistral Molontov imprisoned Rothsman
was offered his old position back. He did not return however, and
his current wearabouts is unknown. His unwillingness to retake his
place in the Church of Fire may have something to do with his conviction
that Tarrashar had something to do with the conspiracy surrounding
Van Caspan's death. Rothsman returned to Uris where, on 23rd Heathaze,
he told Nicos Allumière and the Chosen of Narramac his suspicions
regarding Tarrashar. Nicos made it clear that he wants Nicos to
become the new Firewalker, and suggested that Nicos get on and become
First Flame of Scaldarnus as quickly as he could.
