Iourn Home > A to Z > O

O'Hare, Damodred: Gnomish necromancer who hired Fenton Pryde to obtain the Heart of Llysallian for him, in order to construct a dracolich. O'Hare was obsessed with the murder of Sapphire Ninefondle and the rescue of his childhood sweetheart Jemimah. He was fatally thwarted in this goal by the Chosen of Narramac, dying at the hand of Elias Raithborne on 45th Suntask 204. This was not such a tragic loss as he was attempting to release a dracolich at the time.

Oakholme: A small farming community appoximately two days from Northmeet by the North Timberlake Road. It is built around a massive and ancient oak tree that grows out of the very pleasent townsquare. Day-to-day running of the town is left to the squire, Osroth. On 39th Scatterseed 204 Oakholme took in sixty survivors from the village of Garwood. On 6 Brightday 204 Squire Osroth was castrated by a vengeful Ravenna after his brutalisation of one of his serving girls. Ravenna and her co-conspirators were apprehended but escaped and remained wanted by the law, until they were pardoned by the Alberdark on 1 Suntask 204.

Oblivion: The afterlife. Oblivion means many different things to many people. Most see oblivion as the final resting place for the soul when it has departed from the body. Ogrebane, Brack: Dwarven ranger from the Gunstadtan Hills. He was born Brack Kurast, but earned his new name hunting down and slaying the creatures that slew his parents. Arrived in the Village of the Eighteen Churches a few days before Brightday to embark on Narramac's quest; there he met the bard, Alessandre. During the first task, his entire group were killed and eaten by a wyvern, although Brack managed to kill the beast and take its egg. On his way back to the Village to find a new team, Brack met Alessandre again who introduced him to Ravenna, Nicos, Raza, Arvan and Elias. Despite hearing their recent history he opted to join the team, replacing the recently departed Minsc. Brack's self-declared motivation in the quest is to gain the power to slay as many ogres as possible - so obviously, he is a calm level-headed sort of chap. Victorious in the grand quest, Brack and the others became the Chosen of Narramac and now walk a very different path. This path puzzled the dwarven warmaster, Grimm, when he met with Brack. He could not understand why Brack chose to be an outcaste living in human lands. This got Brack to thinking, and he is becoming homesick for Gunstadtan.

The current Father Abbot is a man called Magen. On 12th Heathaze 204, Zookie revealed to the Chosen of Narramac that the order had not always held such tenants. He claimed that the founding abbot, Logen, had devised the order to seek out godspeakers with view of bringing down the moon faiths. His claims cannot be substantiated.

Orthus [captain]: Captain of the palace guards at Yaddagon's palace in Uris. Orthus is efficient, fearsome and has no sense of humour. Arrived with a force of warriors and Archwizard Gaston at Castle Caled (later Castle Dolanz) to save Princess Celestine on 1 Lollmeadow 204.
