Dale, Laura: One of two potential
victims of Apache Joe to live in Round Rock, Texas as determined
by the research of the mid-west evidence response team and Chris
Walcott. Sister of Leena Dale. Sent to Hollywood for New Year to
keep her safe. With the death of the serial killer, she should hopefully
remain that way.

David: Technician from Westburg
Vaults summoned to open the vault at the west coast HQ on 14 December
2000. He was subsequently murdered by the Joker. The matter was
kept under wraps for fear of compromising case LA10749.
David's death was never reported to the team investigating the Joker.
His family were later told that he was murdered by triads.
Davies, James: Husband of Jessica
Davies, killed when Flight FB105 was destroyed by the Joker on 4
December 2000. Agents Harlow and Munroe encountered Al Brickman
in his seat during the flight, which has yet to be explained. His
wife, Jessica, survived the crash but later died in hospital.
Davies, James (Judge): Judge resident
in Joplin, Missouri. Issued an exhumation order on several graves
in the Irongates Military Cemetery at the behest of Artemis Black
on 5 February 2001. Judge Davies is fond of golf.
Davies, Jessica: Frumpy housewife
and passenger from seat 29 of flight FB105 to Fairbanks, Alaska
that was destroyed by the Joker on 4 December 2000. Jessica survived
the crash but died on the operating table in the night of 10 December
2000. Agents Harlow and Munroe encountered Lillian Winter in her
seat during the flight, which has yet to be explained. Jessica's
husband, James, was also killed on the flight.
Davies, Jonathan: Individual who,
in 1963, discovered the abandoned Eldorado Coupe that contained
the body of Peter Ellis Dean. Why this was matter was never taken
further remains to be seen. See case ES174.
Dawson, Hank
(Senior Special Agent): Second in command of the north-west
evidence response team, based in Anchorage, Alaska. Like many FBI
agents, Dawson is a trained lawyer.
De Azua, Marcos Ruiz: Miner and
leader of a cult who used a copper mine in Santa Barbara for their
own nefarious purposes. De Azua was killed when Benedict Oaxaca
destroyed the mine in February 1995.
De Tour, Gerald: One of the old
patriarches who seems to control Estelle County, Louisiana. It is
believed that, in the 1962, La Ville and his buddies Christopher
Roche, Louis la Ville and Sam Pickering snr were responsible for
the murder of Peter Ellis Dean. De Tour's son, Roger, was also present
at the killing. De Tour has failing health and was living in the
Shady Acres retirement home outside Estelle. Given the nature of
the murder, the agents through it likely that de Tour has access
to magic of some kind. This was proven to be ture. The old man was
interviewed by the agents on 19 June 2001 in connection with case
ES174. The psychic wave following
the release of Samael the next day, drove him mad. He went to the
local hospital, and used a magic gun to kill Louis la Ville, two
orderlies and very nearly agents McPike and Malkin. He was killed
by Benedict Oaxaca, effectively ending Peter Ellis Dean's revenge
killings as well as the case itself. It is believed that de Tour
was an ex-Grand Wizard of the Ku Klux Klan.
De Tour, Roger: Contacted by the
agents in connection to case ES174.
Roger is the son of Gerald de Tour. Roger was nine at the time of
the death of Peter Ellis Dean, and probably witnessed his father
and the other patriachs murder the man. This scared him, and he
is very scared that the truth will come out. However, Roger is still
a generally unpleasent racist, much like his father. Roger was possessed
by Peter Ellis Dean, so the spirit could watch the rampage and death
of Gerald de Tour on 22 June. It is not know, whether Dean is still
in Roger de Tour's body.
Dean, Peter Ellis: A civil-rights
activist who disappeared in Louisiana in 1962. Prior to his death,
Dean worked as a law clerk for McCollins, Gillette and Couvert
and was a member of the "Law For All" civil rights movement.
He had a criminal record, having been arrested twice for breaching
local civil disobedience ordinances (the Louisiana Race Acts). However,
he as a lover more than a fighter and is known to have been something
of a ladies-man. He was engaged to be married to Alisha Black, while
he was also seeing Estelle columnist Lila-Bette Monet. This relationship
pushed him into the path of Lila-Bette's father, Jean, and his four
cronies who between them ran Estelle County. While passing through
Estelle, Dean was waylaid by Christopher Roche, Sam Pickering snr,
Louis la Ville and Gerald de Tour (and his nine year old son, Roger).
They murdered Dean and placed his body in the trunk of his car (a
1959 Eldorado Coupe belonging to his friend, Christopher Rock).
Magic was cast to make the vehicle almost impossible to find. Vindictively,
Dean's spirit was bound to his body. He remained trapped for forty
years and went quite insane. In late 1999 the car was found by Louise
Roche (Christopher's daughter) and passed to the FBI. Dean's body
was eventually recovered on 8 June 2001 at which point his spirit
was released and went on vengeful bender to murder all his original
killers and their children. See case ES174.
Deeson, Melanie: Twenty year-old
potential victim of Apache Joe from Temple, Texas.
Deeson, Rebecca: Nineteen year-old
potential victim of Apache Joe from Eagle Pass, Texas.
Dega, Enrico: Mexican money-launderer
and drug lord with his own private army. Dega was the target of
a joint FBI-DEA operation in 1994, that involved Benedict Oaxaca.
His operation was later compromised by the testimony of Ferdinand
Jimminez.
Delaquoire (Doctor): Physician
who works at the Shady Acres nursing home in Estelle County, Louisiana.
Gerald de Tour is one of Dr Delaquoire's patients. The doctor met
the agents of the mid-west flying squad on 19 June 2001 as part
of their investigation of case ES174.

One of the deupty directors in the Department of Agriculture and
head of Operation Yuri - the ongoing war against the brain bugs.
DeMontu is Michael Levin's superior.
Derek (Police Officer): Member
of the Pasadena police force sent to help the mid-west evidence
response team in their search of warehouses in the dock area on
12 October 2000. Entered the Coffee 4 Texas warehouse with Special
Agents Stone and Black and was subsequently gunned down by members
of Jesus Martinez's drugs gang. Derek leaves two daughters aged
six and eight.
Devereaux, Wilson: Canadian citizen
and member of the trio of paedophiles who escaped into the badlands
of North Dakota on 17 September 2000 to avoid the RCMP. He was accompanied
by Norton Binks and Andrew Edwards; all were noted huntsmen. A dark-haired
avuncular man, Devereaux procured children for his sordid business.
He never escaped the badlands, and was ripped apart by a werewolf.
His remains were discovered by evidence response on 22 November
2000. See Case DVL017.
Devries, Henry (Special Agent):
Member of the Carnivore Diagnostic Tool Unit with Nathan Harlow
who was also reassigned when the unit was closed. After Harlow's
original tinkering with the time-line Devries was reassigned with
Harlow to evidence response where he took the role of scapegoat,
and became the Joker's new whipping boy. In this timeline it was
Devries who was killed by the Joker on 18 October, reincarnated
into the body of Lehoaoah, survived the crash of flight FB104 and
was killed by the Joker again on 14 December. Fortunately for everyone's
sanity (and Devries's soul) the original timeline was soon restored
and Henry Devries is alive and well with no memory of these events
that never happened. See the section on Time
Travel for a more detailed treatment of these events.
Devries,
Dr Royston (Senior Special Agent): Psychologist and member
of the east coast evidence response team. Gave a psyche evaluation
to agents Ecks, McKraken and Burchill on 13 December 2000. He participated
in the operation to take down Apache Joe on 1 January 2001.
Dewey (Doctor): Matronly coroner
of Clayton County. Encounted by agents Munroe and Ecks on the evening
of 13 December 2000 when they arrived to autopsy the bodies of the
west coast team.
Different: In the prophecies
of Horus-Ra, the Different are those races who were changed
or otherwise affected by the First War between the demons and the
angels.
Dodd (Sheriff): Local sheriff
of Estelle County. Encounterd by the agents during case ES174.
On 18 June 2001 he began his investigation into the deaths of Christopher
and Louise Roche.
Doppelgangers: An alien race of
shapechangers. See entry for the K'tai.
Drake, Alex (Special
Agent): FBI agent with great skill in accounting and the
assault rifle, as was evidence by the way he brought down a helicopter
gunship with surprising ease. He was assigned to the mid-west evidence
response team during case WK001,
and then returned in a more permanent capacity on 9 December 2000.
He was badly wounded in the firefight against Apache Joe on 1 January
2001. See also: Alex Drake Casefile.
Dubieniec, Peter: A Ukrainian
immigrant to the United States who lived in Newark and got by on
petty thievery. At some point in the early 1980s, Dubieniec returned
to the Ukraine where he studied under his grandfather, a local mystic
of some kind. Dubieniec's grandfather was able to bind the spirit
of a witch to Peter. The witch was bound to the words of her fairytale,
and the fairytale was tattooed onto Dubieniec's body. Dubieniec
was given intensive training on how to martial his mind and master
the spirt of the entity that always struggled for control. On his
return to Newark, Dubieniec used his newfound abilities to become
a highly efficient assassin and he found work with the Polish Mafia.
He was paid to assassinate Rustam Bezushko of the Ukrainian mafia,
which he did on 24 April 2001. Bezushko was possessed by a brain
bug that entered Dubieniec and tried to control him. Dubieniec's
mental conditioning stopped the brain bug from exerting control,
and from escaping. However the mental stress of dominating both
witch and brain bug took its toll. Dubieniec collapsed in his safe
house and could not befend himself when Youri Borschak and Ivan
Voltchkov arrived to murder him a few days later. After his death
the tattoos (and the entity/witch) passed to Doctor Douglas Fairbanks,
leaving Dubieniec almost unrecognisable. See case NW988.
Dukes, PJ: Helicopter pilot and
Vietnam veteran prone to violent flashbacks to the 'Nam. His helicopter
(Rapunzel) was chartered by Elijah Stone to take fellow agents to
the island of Kahoolawe on 29 November 2000. Dukes lost his head,
nearly crashed the helicopter and had to be sedated. The following
day his copter was stolen by Special Agent Wendell Wells and crashed
into the sea.
Dunnit, Clive (Private): Army
private responsible for handing the Gunnery Sergeant Albert Johnson
the weapon that exploded and killed him. His whereabouts since 1991
has not been verified.
Duquesne: A collector of antiquities
who lived in Georgia around 1900. His collection of Egyptian artefacts
and other exhibits were displayed at the Kansas State Library in
a version of 5 June 2001 inflicted on Benedict by unknown alien
perpetrators (originally believed to have been the Sil). It was
used by servants of Sebek in a plan to summon a portion of the sun
and destroy Wichita. The state and significance of the collection
in the real world is unknown.
