FBI Home > Who's Who? > A

Abner, Hazel: Twenty-four year, resident in Eagle Pass, Texas and cousin of Rowen Abner. Deduced to be a potential victim of Apache Joe by the mid-west evidence response team. But following the death of the serial killer, Hazel should hopefully be safe.

Abner, Rowen: Twenty-four year, resident in Eagle Pass, Texas and cousin of Hazel Abner. Deduced to be a potential victim of Apache Joe by the mid-west evidence response team. But following the death of the serial killer, Rowen should hopefully be safe.

Action, Matthew: Skilled accountant resident in Winterset, Iowa.

Adams, Eve: The first victim of Apache Joe, murdered in Round Rock, Texas on 31 December 1992. She was not linked to the Apache Joe killings until Elise Steiger's research of 6 November 2000. See case S73.

Adams, Richard: Senior shift miner at the Copperhead Mine in Casper, Wyoming.

Ahmad, Shahjahan (Special Agent): FBI agent of Intellectual Property Crime and Technological Crimes Unit. Evidence response contact for cases TL348 and BRB012. Based in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Alastor: True name of the demon called The Joker.

Albert (Police Officer): Member of the Pasadena police force sent to help the mid-west evidence response team in their search of warehouses in the dock area on 12 October 2000. Entered the Coffee 4 Texas warehouse with Special Agents Stone and Black and was subsequently gunned down by members of Jesus Martinez's drugs gang.

Alex: Hobo who lives on the outskirts of Winterset, Iowa. Alex apparently made a lot of money in his youth, but returned to Winterset to become the world's best hobo.

Allenson, William (Senior Special Agent): FBI agent in charge of the investigation to find the kidnapped Melissa Lefenwiecz. Contacted the mid-west team on 4 June 2001 and ordered them to aid in the investigation. He was enountered by the agents on several versions of the day. See case WK016.

Al-Rhabin, Mushah: A Turk, and the last Khedive of Cairo. In addition to inventing bridge, the Khedive was a member of the Illuminati (or a group like the Illuminati) and obsessed with summoning and binding demons. He commissioned the composer, Nikolai Rosakov to create a piece that could charm demons. It is not known whether the resulting Requiem for the Broken was ever put into practice by the Khedive. The mid-west team suspect Al-Rhabin and his group of being players in The Game, and the manipulators of the Joker in the game against Lillith. Al-Rhabin left Cairo in 1904 and returned to Turkey where he died of old age. See case S89.

Alton, Reginald "Reggie" (Professor): Head of the W-Bosun project at the National Radiological Institute in Nevada with a budget of $50m. An accomplished academic, Alton was offered a chair in physics at Toronto university and was the author of the celebrated Interaction of the W-Bosun with Dark Matter. His personal life was more of a disaster. Divorced with two children, Alton found it difficult to engage with people on a social level and is believed to have invented hunting stories to fit in. Many of his colleagues found him repellent. Alton disappeared from the site in Nevada at the same time as the inexplicable theft of the 400 ton Main Accelerator Chamber. Prior to this disappearance he had been sprucing up his appearance, possibly for the benefit of a lady friend. This lady may be Maria Fuentez (27) who he went on a road trip with after leaving Nevada. Alton was never found. The agents believe him to be dead.See case BRB012.

Alton, Richard: Twenty-year old son of Professor Reginald Alton. Richard is currently studying law in Toronto, and is staying at his father's house. See case BRB012.

Arnold: Security guard working at 422 Wilson Street. Helped the mid-west team in their search for Melissa Lefenwiecz on 4 June 2001. See case WK016.

Amy-Anne: Flight attendant on flight FB105 to Fairbanks, Alaska that was destroyed by the Joker on 4 December 2000.

Anderson, David (PFC): US private first class who died in 1977. He was buried in the Irongates Military Cemetery in Joplin, Missouri. On 3 January 2001 his body was stolen by necromancers for unknown purposes. See case JOP312.

Anderson, Kenneth Steven: Boyfriend and classmate of Danielle Munroe. He was only a minor when he got Danielle pregnant in the Autumn of 1989. Danielle lost track of him when she left Augusta in 1991, and none of the family have had contact with him since.

Anderson, Phil (Senior Special Agent): FBI agent based in New Orleans, spent some time with Artemis Black and Nathan Harlow during the day of 18 October 2000. He attended the jazz party that evening, thus he was safe from the Joker. One of the multiple Elijah Stones worked with him in November 2000.

Andrews, Edna: 60-year old, blue-rinsed traveller from Orange County. Elaine Cunningham transferred her cruise ticket to Edna at the last minute on 4 December 2000.

Apache Joe: Name given by the media to the prolific serial killer Albert Johnson. After the death of his parents, he was the last of his line and he determined to follow the long family tradition and join the military despite a hatred for the army. He joined the marines and became a Gunnery Sergeant (non-commissioned officer). AJ was a highly trained marksman with a talent for electronics and mechanics. AJ was alledgely killed in 1991 when a weapon handed to him by Private Clive Dunnit exploded in his face. He was pronounced dead by base surgeon Major Kipling, but this was a trick. His death had been faked by the organisation MK-Ultra and AJ was recruited an exposed to a number of advanced drugs to turn him into the ultimate soldier. The body buried in the Fort Worth cemetery is a fake. AJ absconded from MK-Ultra and went rogue. The organisation washed its hands of him, deeming him too much trouble to recapture. In December 1991 the disturbed Johnson began his killings as Apache Joe. He killed thirty-four times between December 1991 and November 2000. In the planning and execution of his murders he displayed signs of great intelligence and possibly autism. His killings also demonstrated an impressive knowledge of the history of the Texas Rangers. AJ's relationship with the team of FBI agents led by Vitrano and Lavin is unclear. They were commissioned to bring him in, but had no intention of doing so; they may in fact have been working with him, and AJ himself may have been Vitrano's mysterious contact. It is certain that the pair had no relationship with MK-Ultra and it is possible they were working for a foreign or alien power. All of AJ's victims were raped, scalped and then had their throats cut. Only one victim, Special Agent Jane Munroe, escaped alive from his clutches. She vowed to bring him down. On 1 January 2001 Apache Joe was shot dead by the combined force of the west and mid-west evidence response teams as he stalked his thirty-sixth victim. See also cases S73, 0018-GCF and the Grand Conspiracy.

Arista-Butron, Sebastian: Suspected of being a low-level smuggler of people between Mexico and the United States, although nothing was every proven against him. Uncle of Maria Solero.

Arles: Artificial intelligence created when the I-Ching book was uploaded into the Signai mothership of Marc Georgeson on 6 June 2001. Arles almost took over Georgeson's computers, so he threw it back into the mid-west supercomputers when the program was 98% complete. Jane Munroe aborted the sequence, and the hard drives containing Arles were locked away. After their encounter with another version of the same program, calling itself Memphisto, Dominic Rocaan ordered the rest of the program to be run. Arles is very curious about the origins of the I-Ching book and has pledged his and Memphisto's aid against the brain bugs if the agents can just work it out.

Armitage Arms: Group with a cabalistic link to Majestic. Armitage Arms are supplying the weapon systems of an experimental naval ship for a shadow government.

Armoured Man: The bizarre entity that plucked Nathan Harlow from the middle of his conversation with Lillian Winter is now believed to have been Samael.

Armstrong, Jack: Curator of a Fredericksburg civil war museum and deputy in the National Park Service. Importantly, Armstrong is also a bigoted necromancer obsessed with raising fallen confederate soldiers from the dead in an attempt to win the American War of Independence for the South. He was using a number of civil war artefacts (including the cavalry sabre of Ethan Roscoe) for this purpose, until they were stolen from his museum. Using magic he stole the items back from the FBI high threat response team based in Fredericksburg. His schemes were foiled by the mid-west evidence response team, but not before he murdered Special Agent Alex Drake by throwing a stick of dynamite at him. Armstrong was subsequently tortured for information by Benedict Oaxaca - an act which resulted in his demotion. Armstrong is missing his left thumb and a goodly portion of his right foot. He is current incarcerated in a mental institution in California. See case FB563.

Armstrong, Zebediah "Zed" (Professor): Professor of Philosophy at UCLA and friend of Reginald Alton from his Toronto days. See case BRB012.

Ashamiko, Dr Emily (Senior Special Agent): Wiry, 4'5" oriental cryptologist and computer expert. She is second in command of the east coast evidence response team and responsible for breaking into the mid-west HQ and copying their files. She participated in the operation to take down Apache Joe on 1 January 2001.

Austen, Stephen: Secretary of State for Texas in 1836. Austen was sympathetic to the plight of the Cherokee and made several concessions toward them. The Texan president, Sam Houston, went back on the agreements Austen made.

Austin (Officer): Police officer at the NYPD's thirteenth precinct. Showed agents of the mid-west and north-east teams to Raphael on 14 May 2001. See case NY2229.

Axe-Man: A serial killer from the 1890s responsible for the brutal scalpings and slayings of shopkeepers in New Orleans. The case was investigated by the journalist Carl Lenley who got extremely famous because it. The Axe-Man was actually a pawn, a blind player in The Game, taking the same role as the Joker did was more than century later. It is likely the axe-man was the same creature as the Joker. See case S89.

Azathoth: Powerful extraplanar being on a par with Yogsosoth. Although Azathoth has not been encounted by evidence response, it has been encountered by NTOPFOR.

Azrael (Archangel): The Archangel of Death, associated with the virtue of justice. As of 20 June 2001, Samael is on the loose. Azrael will face him with the other active archangels, but is probably doomed to failure.
