Welcome to the most detailed and comprehensively documented campaign on the FBI site. Because I play in this campaign, it has the benefit of my first hand experience and excessive note taking. This campaign has also been running far longer than the other campaigns and has therefore built up a momentum and mythos all its own. I think it's fair to say that the mid-west campaign is the main thrust of the entire evidence reponse story. This is where its all happening.

Of course, this campaign is not just the mid-west's story. It follows the characters we played and as such there's a fair amount about the west coast team in here as well. Without further ado, here's the list of sesions:

  • Session One
    22 October 2003
    Agents arrive in Wichita and begin case WK001 (USAF Duplicate Uniforms); the first card in the Joker case is received.

  • Session Two
    29 October 2003
    Case WK001 continues; the agents shoot it out with Jeson Gilgoolie and the first hint of the brain bugs is stumbled upon.

  • Session Three
    4 November 2003
    Apache Joe kills again and the agents head to Birmingham, Alabama after the body of US Marshal Jack Renford is discovered.

  • Session Four
    11 November 2003
    Nathan Harlow inadvertantly starts the Birmingham Riots and the other agents meet a possessed child and a zombie.

  • Session Five
    18 November 2003
    Harlow and Munroe fly to Clayton, Idaho to investigate crop circles and discover a brain bug infestation that nearly kills them.

  • Session Six
    25 November 2003
    The group heads to Texas to investigate stolen Indian artefacts, Harlow's knowledge of pornography proves vital.

    2 December 2003
    Agents Blackthorne, Black and Munroe get into a deep discussion regarding Apache Joe that doesn't come to anything.

    9 December 2003
    The agents discover the Enrique Solomones dead after trying to unsuccessfully summon a Vengeance spirit.

    30 December 2003
    The agents trace the stolen artefacts to a dockland warehouse and get into a fire fight with drugs gang that leaves seven police officers dead and the agents $10,000,000 richer.

    6 January 2004

    Jane heads to Texas to console Kirsty's parents while Elise and Artemis survive a plane crash in the Glass Mountains.

    By working together the group finally make sense of Apache Joe's motives and patterns.

    10 February 2004
    Blackthorne and Elise go to Eagle Pass while Jane attends Kirsty's funeral. They then begin the Kidnap Victim Support case.

    17 February 2004
    In Winterset, Iowa Artemis Black hypnotises a butcher while Jane and Elise are led to two angels by an escaped puppy.

    24 February 2004
    The agents confront the brain bug possessed Westwood Charity and rescue Elayna Lewis.

    02 March 2004

    09 March 2004

    The truth of the mystery in Hawaii becomes apparent and thirty Elijah Stones converge on the island of Kahoolawe.

    Jane dabbles in necromancy and Nathan Harlow returns to the land of the living, while the other agents outrun a volcanic eruption.

    The mid-west team head to the Twin Valley Farm in search of Richard Quail and gain the chance to participate in the life cycle of the brain bugs.

    Benedict's determination to tie up loose ends leads to a one-on-one confrontation with the Joker, while Jane makes a disturbing discovery about Todd.

    24 August 2004

    A small chat with the Voodoo god of the dead uncovers far less than was hoped for, and Nathan Harlow refuses to stay completely dead.

    After a stunning amount of procrastination, the agents engineer a final show-down with the Joker.

    14 September 2004
    With the Joker destroyed and The Game paused, the agents head to Missouri for a relaxing case of grave-robbing and Drake becomes the unluckiest man alive.

    Drake reveals he is possessed by a white necromancer called Jedidiah, and the spirit of Kirsty Faber warns that The Game has begun again.

    4 January 2005
    Alex Drake returns from the dead and Joshua Blackthorne returns to the flesh as the agents discover a week's worth of memories have been stolen from them.

    The investigation into Veronica Cunningham's coven results in beetle-induced death and a headache for Benedict.

    1 March 2005
    April's Fool Day reignites Drake's unique control over probability. As Alex busies himself summoning breakfast and raising the dead, the agents track down Jane West and begin to see the truth of things.

    An encounter with a black cat gives Jane something to think about, and Alex Drake spends two years in another dimension hunting mystical buffalo before the final show down with Veronica Cunningham.

    Investigations into the Think Tank go spectacularly wrong, and Benedict is given a wooden spoon for his inability to set up a camera. Meanwhile Jane has dancing lessons and Drake hits the race track.

    Benedict is attacked by the spirit of an irate redneck slavemaster, while Jane has her date and Alex finds fame and fortune behind the wheel. Then its off to the spirit world on a peyote-fuelled mission of vengeance.

    Agents Oaxaca and Drake dally in the spirit world, and Benedict succeeds in unleashing a lustful Papa Legba on Jane. The west coast team ride to the rescue (again).

    5 August 2005
    In which Jane and Justin attend a ball for the rich and famous while Penny has a brush with the undead and Alex Drake causes a multi-vehicle pile-up live on national TV.

    12 August 2005
    The two teams spring the Archangel Raphael from the clink, and he reward them with a most enlightening question and answer session. Also Drake starts summoning doughnuts.

    Jane and Alex arrive back at Wichita to the news Eisenstein is dead! Fortunately neither of them care very much, and they head to Louisiana where they are overcome by apathy.

    Having utterly lost interest in Peter Ellis Dean, Jane and Alex head to Fredericksburg to investigate a locked door mystery and discover that Jane's reputation has preceded her.

    In which Drake's career begins to completely unravel and the TASER-happy agents takes some drastic steps to resolve matters. It is not a solution that appeals to Gabe.

    In which Benedict returns to take charge of matters, and finds himself at the second battle of Fredericksburg and in a deadly duel with Captain Ethan Roscoe.

    The agents engage in an improbable battle with an animated legion of confederate dead, and tragedy once again strikes the team as Benedict takes a step too far and Jane finds herself in an unexpected position.

    In which time-travel is thoroughly poo-pooed, and the agents do some good old-fashioned donkey work. This leads them to New Hampshire and a completely different case, along with an opportunity for indescretion.

    14 June 2007
    James McCollins joins the team and the agents head to Yazoo City to confiscate a magical library from an unwilling sorcerer.

    21 June 2007
    In which Elise Steiger receives revelations about her family, McCollins sacrifices a puppy to a vengeance demon, and the agents are chased by a twenty foot monster made of tarmac.

    26 June 2007
    Elise has a heart-to-heart with her dodgy grandfather, and Artemis Black neuters the Prince of Darkness.

    03 July 2007
    Faulkner of NTOPFOR joins the team in time to witness a mad dash to the public library in Joplin, Missouri. Then Drake oils up McCollins and wrestles with him in a pile of vomit.

    10 July 2007
    Drake's obsession with the Book of Jedidiah! The nature of the Demon Harlow! The fate of Benedict Oaxaca! It's a race to see how many sub-plots can be resolved in one session.
