Mutant Zombies from Outer Space

The Brief

A number of reports of "aerial phenomena encroaching into civilian airspace" are reported around Seattle, Washington. This matter was passed to the west coast evidence response team, who began work on this case on 22 January 2001. The following is their understanding of what transpired.

The Facts

A space travelling race of polyps arrived on Earth in the vicinity of Seattle and possessed a large number of corpses to use as their hosts. A horde of more than a hundred zombies assaulted agents Bradley Ecks and Todd O'Connell, who brought heavy ordinance to bear against them. All the zombies and the polyps were destroyed although their purpose remains a mystery.

Unanswered Questions

• Why were the zombie-controlled polyps present in this woodland?
• If the polyps are aliens then where did they get their zombie hosts?
