The Brief
On 17 September 2000 the Royal Canadian Mounted Police uncovered
a child pornography ring while investigating a drug smuggling operation.
Three paedophiles (Norton Binks, Wilson Devereaux and Andrew Edwards)
fled Canada to hide in the North Dakota badlands. RCMP Constable
Niles Eliot followed the trio arriving at Devil's Lake on 24 September
2000 where he waited for assistance from the FBI.
The mid-west evidence response team began work on this case on
16 November 2000. The following is the agents' understanding of
what actually transpired.
The Facts
The three paedophiles hoped to lose themselves in the badlands
of North Dakota. Their plan was to wait until the storm had broken
and then escape the area. At some point before 22 November (when
their bodies were discovered) they encountered a werewolf and were
killed and partially devoured. Evidence response assumes this is
the same werewolf that attacked them two days previously.
This was an extremely simple case in regard to the original brief,
but it opens a whole Pandora's Box of problems for evidence response
in the future. Special Agent Wendel Wells was bitten by the werewolf
before it was killed and infected with lycanthropy. He does not
realise this believing his new found stamina, strength and healing
abilities to a manifestation of existing superpowers. See the case
file of Wendel Wells for a full explanation of this delusion.
