The Brief
Lake Champlain Vermont. Between the towns of West Swanton (North)
and Larrabees Point (South) on the Eastern bank of Lake Camplain,
a number of unusual sightings have been reported. Local myth suggests
that this is an appearance of the Sea Folk (a branch of the Wood
Folk of North Eastern Native american Indian mythology). However
disappearances have begun to occur at disparate points along the
lakeside roads. The large distance to be covered, 90 miles of shoreline,
is problematic; however the disappearances seem to be focussed on
Maquam, 7 miles south of West Swanton. This case was taken on by
the east coast team in December 2000.
The Facts
Utilising additional man-power in the shape of new special agents
Bradley Ecks, Jack Burchill, Philip McKraken and Robert Jenks, the
East Coast team was able to place observers along key points of
the shore line. They were able to discover the existence of a separate
race of beings called they called "sea folk" that had
been interbreeding with the local community for years, and taking
travellers. The team declared this case closed prior to the Evidence
Response Christmas party of 25-26 December 2000.
