Background Information
Wendell Wells: 6'0" high, bleached white hair, firm chin and
piercing blue eyes. A respected FBI agent Wendell's background is
in engineering and he is a whiz with mechanical and electrical gadgets.
Wells is a brave and daring fellow who was commended for bravery
after heading running into a fire fight to pull out a wounded colleague
without any back up, weapon or flak jacket.
Wendell was assigned to work with the FBI in New York where he
eventually married his long-time partner, Marie Silone in 1997.
Wendell is reassigned to the task force working against drugs baron
Emilio Sanchez. About eighteen months ago the FBI team traced Sanchez
to a chemical plant belonging to the Kuehne Chemical Company about
eight miles from New York City This was a major operation with SWAT
teams and flak jackets and the like. Wendell's team are also going
in because they have a chance of nabbing Sanchez himself.
The agents headed into the plant and in the ensuing fire-fight
they were separated. Wendell saw Sanchez fleeing the scene and pursued.
The two got into a fist fight over a vat of dangerous chemicals.
Sanchez got the better of Wendell and threw him into the vat. Wendell
hit his head on the way down and would have drowned if he wasn't
rescued by colleagues. Sanchez escaped.
Over the next few weeks Wendell recovered (the chemicals had bleached
his hair white but that was the only physical effect). Unfortunately
the experience had completely unhinged him. Wendell became convinced
that the chemicals had given him super powers and turned him into
a scourge against all evil. Dressing up in an electric blue Kevlar
body suit, cape and cowl (with luminous yellow accoutrements) he
headed out onto the mean streets of New York to bring justice to
evil doers and to finally catch up with Sanchez who he now referred
to as his "evil nemesis". In this persona he called himself
Captain Dynamo.
Wendell believed he had superhuman strength, agility and endurance,
the ability to see in the dark and to become invisible in shadows.
He also believed that his touch sent waves of icy fear through those
he touched. Of course all this was utter rubbish - in fact Wendell's
insanity was such that he became convinced of new powers depending
on the circumstances. Yet despite this, Wendell was still highly
trained, physically adept and bedecked with a number of useful gadgets
he had invented himself. He was surprisingly effective at taking
out minor hoods who were suitably embarrassed at having been caught
by him. Captain Dynamo quickly became a bit of a joke in the New
York police force. Of course, Wendell never actually killed anyone
during these events.
It didn't end well for Wendell. He never got his showdown with
Sanchez because he was arrested by the police while trying to rescue
a kidnap victim. His identity revealed Wendell was put into serious
psychiatric care that lasted for twelve months. He has recently
been released. The official report says that Wendell accepts his
insanity and that he doesn't have any super powers.
This is completely wrong. Wendell is still utterly convinced of
his powers and his invulnerability, but he has accepted that using
them within the FBI could be more beneficial to himself, his colleagues
and the world. Suffice to say that evidence response was the only
outfit desperate enough to take him in. Marie, who stood by her
husband all this time, has allowed him the personal space to find
himself with evidence response. She hopes that he is cured, but
she doubts it.

is eager to start working for the FBI again, but he is considered
to have had too much 'history' in New York. Wendell is assigned
to the mid-west evidence response team. Marie agrees to give her
husband a little space to work through his new life. She remains
