Recent Events

The following events have been highlighted as having special significance for Mathew since joining the mid-west evidence response team. Please see the Timeline to place these incidents in context.

16 December 2000

Doctor Mathew St. John Wainwright is assigned to the mid-west evidence response team. He flies to join them in Los Angeles and participates in case LA10749.

19 December 2000

Wainwright participates in the successful battle against Mao Sei Ben which ends the menace of the geomancer for good (hopefully). However, he inadvertantly taunts the mirror ghost, Plum Blossom, with shards of her destroyed prison. The ghost, who is currently possessing the body of Jane Munroe at the time, rips Mathew's leg off with a magical incantation. Jane manages to stabilise Mathew long enough for him to be rushed to hospital. Although he has lost his leg from the hip down he will recover.

Proving that disability is no barrier to active duty, Eisenstein assigns Wainwright to the new west coast team in the evidence response reshuffle. He is to be the groups resident librarian and not leave the confines of their Beverly Hills HQ. However, it will be some considerable time before Wainwright is well enough to take up his new post.
