Recent Events

The following events have been highlighted as having special significance for Elise since joining the mid-west evidence response team. Please see the Timeline to place these incidents in context.

19 October 2000

Elise Steiger is sent to join the mid-west evidence response team in New Orleans after the death of Nathan Harlow. She begins her tenure with the team by meeting Harlow's ghost, and then seeing how he was killed on tape.

3 November 2000

Elise learns the truth behind evidence response from the mouth of Eisenstein himself at a secret meeting in Wichita. It she didn't believe in the supernatural before, she does now. Elise has a major breakthrough investigating the Apache Joe case (S73). Later, at the behest of Jane Munroe, Elise and Artemis Black fly to Colorado City to examine the recently unearthed body of Susan Lomax - another victim of Apache Joe. On the way back to Wichita the plane carrying Elise and Artemis crashes into the Glass Mountains.

5 November 2000

A perky Steiger and dishevelled Artemis Black are rescued from the wilderness and returned to civilisation.

6 November 2000

Elise is reprimanded by Blackthorne by shooting her computer monitor with her hand-gun.

7 November 2000

It is discovered that Elise fits the exact profile of Apache Joe's victims.

15 November 2000

Elise is involved in a protracted battle against brain-bug possessed membes of the Westwood Charity outside Winterset, Iowa. Her skill with the assault rifle proves vital, although she is nearly possessed and killed in the fight. After the battle she is sent to the nearest hospital.

16 November 2000

Elise is discharged from hospital and travels to Grand Fawkes, North Dakota to particpate in case DVL017. She meets Wendell Wells for the first time. Later in the day she encounters Constable Niles Eliot of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. She takes an immediate shine to him.

20 November 2000

Along with the rest of the group, Elise battles a werewolf in the wilds of North Dakota.

29 November 2000

Elise encounters multiple Elijah Stones anf fire spirits. She is crushed to death by a rock-fall on the island of Kahoolawe. The incident is caused by her fellow agent, Wendell Wells.

4 December 2000

News of Elise's death seems to be a relief to her grandfather. What is this? A look at Elise's family tree reveals that something bizarre is going on in that family, although when the agents will find time to investigate this is another matter.
