D&D Home > Master Lists > Classes Master List

This section presents a comprehensive list of every character class in the third edition game. This list includes all titles in the core list of sources up to and including Weapons of Legacy published in July 2005. I hope to update this page every few months. At present there are 581 different character classes made up of 37 core class, 8 NPC classes, 11 racial paragon classes and a staggering 525 prestige classes.

The options below allow you to view the list in different ways. The A to Z of all classes, although comprehensive and good for printing, is a long file and not particularly easy to search. The list is therefore also subdivided for your convenience. Unlike spells and feats, classes are not categorised into broad groups by the official rules. I have therefore devised my own categorisation that will hopefully make things easier. Classes can belong to more than one category. On the whole these classes are as they appear in the printed books without the intrusion of my house rules. I may have made changes to fit a version 3.0 class into the 3.5 rules. Where this is the case I have made a reference in the Notes.
