Game Rule Information

The following changes have been made to the powers and abilities of the Church Inquisitor. Any published rules for the church inquisitor or that do not directly contradict the contents of this page still apply.

Class Features

Alignment: Inquisitors do not need to be of LG or LN alignment, and do not necessarily need to belong to a LG faith, although only lawful churches would normally support such an order. The manner in which a character becomes an Inquisitor would vary from faith to faith. Characters may not need to have already proved themselves as the requirements suggest.

Additional Spells: There are no domains per se in my interpretation of clerics. Inquisitors add the following spells to their spell list: Detect Chaos (1st), Zone of Truth (2nd), Detect Thoughts (3rd), Discern Lies (4th), True Seeing (5th), Geas/Quest (6th), Dictum (7th), Shield of Law (8th), Imprisonment (9th). Access to spells is determined by caster level which is the sum of levels in cleric and in this class.

Enhanced Dispelling: From first level the Church Inquisitor gains a +4 bonus on all dispel checks.
